I want to be a cop Where do i start? LEO replies greatly appreciated

Do you believe in the presumption of innocence until proven guilty? Do you believe in the 4th Amendment? Rule of law? If so...stop. Find another career. You don't want to be the enforcement arm of a corrupt govt agency tasked with enforcing the dictates of the current political class...

Trying to find a Les Baer CMP A2 rifle

For something in stock try the Critereon uppers by Creedmoor Sports. They are in stock and will make a great rifle. If you want a one built and cant wait for White Oak you can try Lee Wells at Accurate and Reliable Rifle. He is probably getting ready to head to Perry, but he is good. I have shot...

    AI vs. Custom US build

I have been behind pleanty of rifles and the more I shoot tactical rifles the more I think AI is pretty hard to beat. I wish they were a tad lighter, but I could also do a little more PT. I also recommend the TRG. That is a lot of rifle for the money . Mine has a 6x47L barrel that was done by...

what would/do you shoot for National Match ?

As far as service rifles, the AR is the most popular by far. For match rifles again probably ARs with longer barrels, match sights and adjustable stocks.

2014 JP Rifles Mammoth Sniper Challenge

I ran a 20" 308 AR10 as secondary. I would not hesitate to run a 20" .223 next year. I would shoot 77s. Many of the shots were within 400 yds as secondary and the easy recoil and ability to spot for yourself would have been helpful. It also saves quite a bit of weight in rifle and ammo. If the...

2014 JP Rifles Mammoth Sniper Challenge

I did a load out a couple weeks ago. Weighed my pack with everything. 51lbs. Add my 15lb rifle and I'm rucking 66lbs. That's heavy gents. If we have to trudge through fresh snow I might have trouble with the 20min miles. That and I too am fighting a nasty fever and cold. I seem to remember in...

2014 JP Rifles Mammoth Sniper Challenge

Jcrist, I really enjoyed your writeup from last year. It is one of the reasons that I've been excited for this for months. I was able to shoot this match the first year when Barrett was the sponsor. Though a different format, I am happy to be coming back with my brother to try out the ETM...

How to carry a heavy rifle

Kifaru gunbearer is on my pack. I thought it was silly until I tried one. Now I can't say enough good things about it. I cannot imagine that anyone backpacking serious miles would ever use an Eberlestock pack again after trying a gunbearer.
