    Thats weird. I called and talked to the guy that takes the orders and he refused to do the job without the action in hand. Same for SAC. They didsay that once they had my action they could make notes about sizing and they would not need it for future jobs, but not on the first one.

    If you have a pistol length gas system then a no brainer easy accuracy load is a 220 Sierra and 8.4 grains of Lil Gun. A 208 Amax with 7.9 will work also. Make sure you have a nice amount of neck tension, like .0025-.003. Super accurate in every 300 I have tried

    I have an AIAE in 6.5x47L. Handloads work fine, I just tried some factory Lapua ammo with the 139 Scenar, it would pierce about 3 or 4 out of 10 primers. I checked pin protrusion, it was .051", I screwed the pin in a half turn, pin is now .037". I fired 21 rounds today and they all worked...

    The thick rubber will prolly strip out long before you get close to 100 ft-lbs. get a correct fitting barrel block made of aluminum.

    My observation is that if you taped up the rear guide screw so there was no forward-back movement, then you might not have full recoil lug contact. I would check that.

    Gunsmithing Bedding Opinions

    The only reason you need clearance on the sides, bottom, and front of the recoil lug is so that it does not scrape the bedding during installation and forcing the residual bedding compound to the bottom of the recoil lug recess, thus holding the receiver up off of the bedding job you just did.

    Rifle Scopes AI AE MkIII w/ S&B question...

    I love the AE, I have a MK I and a MK II and they both exceed my expectations. One has a Zeiss Victory Diavari and the other has a S&B both in AI 18 moa mounts. I would recommend the 5-25 S&B without MTC and without locking turrets.
