They are not the same. They have a higher B.C. and will likely need to be seated differently to be accurate. I have been messing with them using Varget, but nothing really accurate so far.

Thanks guys. I've done my share of " just load 'em up and blast away" type of loading, and over time, keep stumbling on accuracy nodes. Some of my pet loads in .308 shoot very well in all my rifles, and those are the elusive OCW type loads that I'm looking for.

That's what I came closest to using it for, was 55gr FMJs, but used up the last of the 2230-c instead. The 2230-c load was more accurate. I get a lot of Muzzle flash with Xterminator in the carbines, so was looking at pushing the heavies in 18"-20" barrels.

First off, just know that I'm not too lazy to do the load development. I've had this 8# of TAC for almost 8 years, and tried it in .308, multiple bullet weights. Also in .223, and 6.5 Grendel. Tac was edged out, accuracy wise, in all my phases of testing, so before I condemn it to load blasting...

I had to turn .053" off of my G2 AP4 barrel nut for my Samson EVO to fit. I was unaware that DPMS is already selling replacement parts for the G2. Where can I find that barrel nut?

They will work, but head space will be TIGHT. I run a DPMS bolt & carrier in my Armalite rifle, but it has a Rock 5R, and was suffering from excessive head space, until I made the swap. I now have a spare bolt & carrier to carve up for the carbine. I've been looking hard at milling weight off...
