Inexpensive stock options similar to Manners T2

Inexpensive stock options similar to Manners T2 Boyd's Tacticool. Put pillars in and skim bed the receiver. Then inlet for the DBM if ya just gotta' have it. $105 for the stock. I'm doing one for my .223 along with doing a adjustable cheek riser like shown in a thread in the DIY section. They...

    Quenching after annealing?

Is it necessary to quench brass after annealing? I recently built a annealing machine using 2 torches. On Hornady .308 brass 4 seconds is getting a melt on tempilac at 700 degrees. Does it need to drop into water or will air cooling accomplish the goal? Thanks in advance for any info.

    Steel Targets

I made my plate racks and full size pepper poppers out of 3/8" T1 steel plate. Thousands of pistol and shotgun blasts with no problems. I never shoot rifles at them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns browning 1911 .22

COOL GRIPS. With regards to the beavertail. You could take the stock part and add some "wings" with a TIG welder I suppose and then dress it down and blend it it. That would be a ton of work though. The sights could be done easily by a Smith with a mill and dovetail cutters. Novaks would be a...

    Where are 80 grain AMAX?

80 gr. amax shot like crap out of my .223 Berger VLD shot consistent sub 1/4moagr. 80 SMK shot really good but a full 1/4 moa worse than the vld did. Beenjammin's stick for sure shot those amax's into a very tiny group @ 600 yds.

    opinions on .308 brass?

I have been using Hornady .308 Match cases in my recently rebuild. Bought 300 from 3rd Generation, for $34 per box of 50 and a LGS has about 40 boxes at $39. It is very consistent brass as far as case weight and that's less than $1 per case. Don't know about the PRVI stuff as too it's quality...

Advice on Hornady 168 gr BTHP bullets

Gunsmithing Is there anyway to fix this???

Sounds like there are burrs on the magazine feed lips. Pull the mag and lightly sand or file then to remove the burrs. Stampings often have burred edges that don't get removed by tumbling the parts, occasionally one might miss the cleanup process. My Rem 700 .223 did the same thing. I dressed...
