Mine is just 3/4” plywood that I varnished. It’s held up well for me but I’m not as hard on stuff as some people are.

I shoot 178’s in my Savage 308 and get sub moa. I have killed a few deer with them. Overall, they are fine bullets but nothing magical.

I believe (and please correct me if I’m wrong) that as long as it is done properly, ie not over-annealled, that annealling multiple times won’t have any affect on the brass.
