Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
I have twice. Was painless the first time. The second time apparently the gauges were backordered (I didn't notice) and instead of emailing me to say as such I just kept checking the mailbox and checking the mailbox. Finally emailed them, no response, cancelled my order as I was leaving town...
You're pretty much stuck with a 1.5" OD or greater unless your sleeve is starting forward of your gas block. Then if your tube is fixed to your barrel to maintain the length you'll be welding the rear cap to the barrel, and the tube to the rear cap. This means you'll only get one shot to get...
Make sure your sleeve is permanently mounted to the barrel or it's a two stamp gun. Also I would try and get some ports going back towards the receiver to make use of that volume or you're not gaining any volume vs just threading on a direct thread.
Have a look at the Liberty Leonidas for concepts and go from there. If you want a 1 stamp gun it will have to have either the monocore or the tube welded to the barrel. Personally for 5.56 I have a 7" suppressor on a 10.5" barrel. Costs me an extra 200 dollars worth of stamps but that same...
"ignore audio focus requests" I turned this off and it seemed to stop crashing. Only a test sample of two podcasts but it seems like at least my phone didn't know what to do if two things wanted to play a noise at once so it would crash out.
Like many of you I listen on my commute. Does anyone else have Podbean just completely shut off then have to go back in and re-pick the episode? I know if I download it I have less problems than if I'm streaming but it is still obnoxious. Shouldn't be fiddling with my phone while driving...
umpteenth vote for get a bridgeport. Those mini mills are not bad once you add all the aftermarket stuff to make them sort of heavy but machining has high forces and high vibrations. Mass is what fixes those things. I paid 1200 for my bridgeport with tooling. It doesn't have a DRO sadly but...
Thanks guys. That's all I was looking for. I won't be "competitive" as a shooter regardless of what gun I'm carrying but as long as it hangs well with most any other semi I am comfortable. For me realistically it's a varmint gun but I would really like to get out and shoot a comp at some point...
How anemic are we talking? Not that I'm a competitor but it seems to be one of the better balanced (speed/BC) options on a small frame AR and is about 100fps/behind a valkyrie at 1000yd with a starting velocity of 2900 and BC of .45 (since you won't be at that .48 for long). I also don't know...
Yup sounds like where I'm at. I wish I had enough meat to build in my taper mount on the barrel honestly. Probably going .875 gas block, either superlative or a seekins switch. Have you tried 8208? Thats the go to load with 95SMK (which I have) over on the BHW forums. If I can hit 2850 or...
Yondering what's up dude!! Thats what I wondered about the +2. I would have gone longer if they had it but for saving 300 dollars I'll give up 4". 9in of suppressor on the end will be nice on the shorter tube anyways. Ya soon as Brownells has a decent sale I'll just snag it all I guess...
