Re: Just a reminder to not be an idiot A while back there was a guy at my local gun store showing off some blown out .308 Win brass that he had PURPOSELY shot out of a .30-06. It was pretty much a straight wall case after. He claimed it was part of the original design specification for the...

Re: .243 87 V-Max I have only loaded 87 grainers with IMR 4350 (40 grains) because it worked so well I didn't bother to try varget. I did find several loads online from other people and it sounded like 36-37 grains was where they got the best results. Makes sense, it's just 2 grains short of...
Re: Oilfield Math Rick - I'm not backing the programs justifications for existence in any way, I agree about the waste of destroying these vehicles and the questionable idea of encouraging people to buy what they can't afford.... but I did think the original post was unrealistically...
Re: Oilfield Math I'm not defending the cash-for-clunkers program which I do think is questionable, hell I'm not even from the states but I think there is more to the story here to look at. Correct me if I'm wrong: -wouldn't 224 million gallons of gas actually save 11.7 million barrels of...

Re: 700 SPS Varmint I've been learning to shoot/handload with an SPS-V .243 with a Bushnell 6500 4-16x40 on it for about a year (so it may be a little better than my groups would show) but I have got between 1.5" and 3" groups with the factory hunting ammo I've tried (too many types to list)...

Re: .308 loads not chambering? This may sound funny (never heard of any one else experiencing this) but once I loaded a batch with not enough outside neck chamfer (almost non-existant, I barely touched them with the chamfer tool) and it made them real hard to chamber, but it would chamber...
Re: Another laminate stock finishing question.... Thanks for all the great advice guys... I think I may have to grab some of my old .22's and .410's and try some of this stuff out beforehand. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: JJones75</div><div...
