Sportsman 78 This is what I had done with mine. Shilen No 7 barrel chambered in .30-06, McMillan HTG stock, PTG steel trigger guard assembly. I will say, it is for shooting, not for carrying. It's heavvier than I anticipated, may have to have the barrel fluted.

Re: Hinds Bipod What I found good about them was: Installed in an Accurate Arms stock with aluminum bedding block. The legs slide up into the stock to be out of the way, but always available. The quality of machining and construction of the assembly.
