    Knee Pain

Just to re-inforce what most people have been saying and your own experiences with PT: I think most of us who work out have knee pain on and off of varying types, now and then. Mostly I've found that it's due to a lack of strength, more than anything else. As someone mentioned above, never skip...

    Suppressors Form 4 wait time

For a few form 4's: ATF cashed checks in late April 2013, received tax stamps mid-March, 2014. For a few form 1's: ATF cashed checks early May 2013, got tax stamps March 20, 2014. So... 10 1/2 months.

    6.5 creedmoor a duplication of effort if I have a 308

It is a pretty noticeable difference. Every time I get behind my buddie's 6.5's (after shooting 308) I have to cut my wind holds in half. It actually feels like cheating. Seriously. When I get off my lazy ass and get another medium caliber PR, it'll be 6.5. This is after shooting them a lot...

    AR 16 or 18" barrel

16" are pretty noticeably handier. It def makes a difference. The weight is at the end of your lever arm and the length...I find it pretty noticeable. Your first one, get a 16." I am starting to go to 14.5" guns with pinned muzzle devices. Between 16" and 18" trajectory difference won't be...

Muzzle Device for hunting .308/7.62 AR. Brake too loud.

Pretty much any and all muzzle brakes are going to be noisier than plain old flash hiders. Some brakes are quieter than others but they're all still loud. Ear pro when hunting...if yer hunting in a blind over a feeder this is probably possible. Other wise not. I've never noticed a difference...

Looking to re-chamber... Short Action Remington 700 - What to do?

The 6.5CM is a windcheating motherf-er. You can get factory brass and factory ammo. I think it's the easy choice here.

    barrel length on new build?

If yer shooting off the shelf stuff, 175 gr FGMM, you should be fine at 4,000 feet keeping those slower FGMMs from going transonic before 1,000 yards. If yer shooting at sea level you will prob notice a big change in cone of dispersion getting past 900 yards. That extra few inches of barrel...

    M1A National Match

I've got one and as mentioned above it's about a 1moa rifle, maybe a hair under. But to compare it to my OBR--or to a good bolt rifle which for the same money ($2,000 easy with scope mount, prob a little more) will be a .25MOA gun... But, seriously--it's a cool piece of vintage hardware with...

Anyone lighten the barrel on a MWS?

I also had Adco turn an AR barrel down to .625 from a heavy profile and noticed no loss in accuracy. The only thing I noticed was the front end of the gun weighed a pound and a quarter less.

Suppressors Do I really need to use an 18" rather than 24" barrel with a .308 suppressor?

At 500-800 yards you are going to still be supersonic AT SEA LEVEL with most factory 175 gr match ammo out of an 18" barrel. If you are in Colorado at 5,000 feet, you are going to stay supersonic maybe to 1000 with that barrel length, again with something like FGMM. If that's all your shooting...

Sidearms & Scatterguns anybody ever use cold bore customs for glock grip work

I used Cold Bore Customs to reduce the grips on two guns last year (a G20 and G21). I wanted the max possible grip reduction and both turned out perfect. They fit my hand much better (almost as well as a G17/g22) and the work looks perfect. They are both woods guns so I got the tactical texture...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns barrel ports??

+1 Porting on handguns is useless bullshit except for guns shooting unlimited class in pistol comps. In most cases ported handguns make the gun deafening to shoot without ear pro. Ask me how I know that. Fine for range toys or comp guns. Not fine for something you might have to use without ear...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Rant on Kimber & "Not Cheap" 1911s in General

Re: Rant on Kimber & "Not Cheap" 1911s in General Had the same problem with a Kimber, CDP Pro II. Nightmare. Constant failure to go into battery from minute one. They suggested a new recoil spring but never sent it. Finally bought it myself. Improved greatly but still doesn't always go into...

Rifle Scopes Help with choice of 1-4 optic for AR

Re: Help with choice of 1-4 optic for AR ACOGs are sweet and bombproof optics but for close up use, they are slow. If you end up dealing death to some running hogs at 25 yards or even some running hogs at 50 yards, you'll be wanting your scope set at 1x or 2x at most, which won't be an option...

Rifle Scopes Help with choice of 1-4 optic for AR

Re: Help with choice of 1-4 optic for AR maybe better than both of those for your primary use is probably a trijicon tr24. The glass is all pretty comparable, ie with some illum there is no difference, and the reticle in the tr24 is way faster--it's like a red dot that you can change from...
