Pretty much any and all muzzle brakes are going to be noisier than plain old flash hiders. Some brakes are quieter than others but they're all still loud. Ear pro when hunting...if yer hunting in a blind over a feeder this is probably possible. Other wise not. I've never noticed a difference...

The 6.5CM is a windcheating motherf-er. You can get factory brass and factory ammo. I think it's the easy choice here.

I also had Adco turn an AR barrel down to .625 from a heavy profile and noticed no loss in accuracy. The only thing I noticed was the front end of the gun weighed a pound and a quarter less.

At 500-800 yards you are going to still be supersonic AT SEA LEVEL with most factory 175 gr match ammo out of an 18" barrel. If you are in Colorado at 5,000 feet, you are going to stay supersonic maybe to 1000 with that barrel length, again with something like FGMM. If that's all your shooting...
