Some people probably shouldn't have a CCW permit

I was at Sam's Club the other weekend. I saw a guy (prob. late 40's) wearing a belt and holster made for cowboy action shooting....leather, loops around the belt for individual cartridges....and was carrying some chrome plated POS semi-auto 9mm in it. Every step I could see that gun bounce and...

    Nemo Omen 300 win mag

I've shot the Nemo Omen on several occasions. Like previously mentioned, recoil is like a mild .308, so no worries there. The one I was shooting was also having problems with blowing primers with some of the ammo loaded with a lighter weight projectile. I know it wasn't kind to the brass as...

What low cost trigger for my low budget AR?

ALG ACT is your best bet. To lighten it up even more I've heard a lot of people run it successfully with the JP reduced power springs (yellow). I've got the Spikes battle trigger (NiB coated) and am about to put in a set of those springs to see if it can help mine out. The springs that came with...

Rainier Arms Raptor Ambidextrous Charge handle

Like stated above, the Raptor is a great CH. I've got one from RA's first run, before they started putting their name and Axis' name on it. I haven't abused it, but haven't been gentle too it either. Functions great, looks cool, and makes your friends want one.

    Question about Mk12 buttstock choice.

I'm running a Mission First Tactical Battlelink. One of the more comfortable stocks I've shouldered and for all the great features it's incredibly light. Lighter even then Magpul's ACS-L and still has storage. Good cheek weld and can even add an adjustable cheek piece for minimal cost and weight.

    Low profile adjustable gas blocks

I'm using an adjustable gas block by Kies and got it from JoeBob's. Clamp on or set screw for $43 or $33, respectively. The adjustment is on the side and I can reach it without removing my Seekins MSCR V2 rail, but with another rail you may not be as fortunate. Don't have a lot of use with it...

    JP Captured Spring: worth it?

I debated using the JP captured spring in my build, and even though I wasn't too concerned over the cost I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much on it. I ended up using a heavy buffer from Weapon Outfitters and a Tubbs flatwire spring. While I haven't shot any rifles with the JP spring...

ARES is about to release a version that I think looks a lot more comfortable to shoot than the one BigJW posted a pic of. Should be going on sale soon. Here's a link to a little about it. Confirmation That ARES Defense SCR Rifle Does Take AR Uppers and Will Be Released Next Week

    Welcome to the neighborhood...

I love just a few miles off the SW corner of Tinker AFB. Get a lot of AWACS flying over during the day, and the occasional heavy.

Better entry level safe? Liberty Revolution or Cannon Scout

Hi all. I know neither are a high end safe, but I have a tight budget since I lost my weekend job that gave us some breathing room in our monthly budget (trying to remain sub $800, sub $700 even better). I primarily want to keep things secure now that my young son is very mobile, and to keep...

Rifle Scopes Choices, Choices... Help me decide.

Hey yinz guys. So I finished building my AR and got my tax money, so looking to put some glass on her. I'm running a RA Ultramatch 16", and my shooting will primarily inside of 300 yards (majority, likely inside of 200), with the occasional pig hunt on my buddy's land in TX to try to clear some...

    Traveling Through Co.
