Hey all. I was considering getting a YHM R9 to use on my 5" 9mm PCC and 8" 300BO, but after watching a bunch of videos, it seems that everyone is saying that the R45 outperforms the R9 at everything, despite the oversized bore, and it's only an inch longer. I have a bunch of silencers to buy because I'm going to go dedicated on my 5.56 rigs because I shoot those a lot. On the other rigs, swapping cans makes sense.
Suppressors Does anyone have a YHM R45 suppressor?

Looks like tre R45 has more baffls, about 20% more volume and is 33% heavier. Shouldn’t be a big surprise that it out-performs the R9. I don’t have a R45, but if it out performs the R9, it should be pretty awesome. That said, YHMs website rates the R45 at 132 dB and the R9 at 123 dB. I sssume that’s 45ACP out of the 45 and 9x19 out of the 9…
Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna go for the R45 rather than the R9. I think it'll serve well for those guns that I dont shoot as often. Who knows? My 9mm PCC with the R45 may become my favorite toy.

Well, I was checking out silencer shop last night and the R9 was back in stock. Yeah, I grabbed one. The R45 is gonna have to wait till next month.

Yeah, I saw that. I'm gonna go back and watch the stuff on AB suppressors. They have my interest. I'm gonna be in the market for another 5.56 suppressor within the next six months.
Have you shot a YHM Fat Cat? If so, how does the AB compare? All I know is that its the best sounding 5.56 k suppressor that I've heard so far.
No time on the Fat Cat. The A-10 is very impressive to me, in size, weight, suppression, and cost—it’s one of if not the best deals on the market right now. Not low backpressure, though.
You definitely can and there are probably thousands of gun channels. Never thought about uploading here, didn’t know you could.
