How fucking brain dead can you be.I’m not pretending anything. Jews have been the most hated ethnicity / religion in the history of mankind. If anybody other than Jews had control of Israel you wouldn’t even be able to point it out on a map. They’re literally the only “race” of people you can openly call out and not face massive opposition / push back. They’re far from innocent and far from perfect. I’m not saying they are and I’m not supporting all their political views. God will be their final judge. As He will each and everyone that hasn’t accepted His Son. I do my best (which isn’t very good) to remember that when I start getting wound up with all the things I see happening in our country and the world.
Big picture. The world is full of problems / evil we can’t solve and that ain’t going anywhere. Posting on The Pit doesn’t solve anything. Put your faith in Jesus. Go to church. Read the Word. Spread the Gospel. Raise your kids to do the same. Go out and vote based on your faith, love your enemies (or try), try to deal with people with the same grace and mercy God has shown us, and leave the rest to Him. Everything is working according to His plan and to bring about His end.
That’s the calling. That’s the “fix”.

Its called, fundamentalism. While it may access the same information as the rest of us, they can only see it one way, no other views or interpretatons can be allowed. Frankly I think it a disease similar to Islamic fundamentalism. They can quote scriptures all day but almost always miss the intent, or spirit, of that scripture. A few years back I was talking with a fundamentalist 'Christian' and happened to say something that differed just a bit from their opinion. Guess what I heard? In a loud, near screaming voice, "Are you saved. Do you believe in Jesus If you aint saved you goin to hell" All, not because I disagreed, but jsut asked them to 'think'.
Not a whole lot of different from Sharia, they just have no power. Yet.
This song ushered me into my hippie days. Strange how much has changed but yes how much is unchanged. I was 9 when it was released in 72 but it remained a popular anthem through the late 70s.
No doubt the pretext and premises have changed but it is undoubtedly a call to action. In my opinion the statements made i.e “Golden Country” “face is so red” “blacks are dying” “we must make a stand” etc are as true today as they were then.
The answers as to why and solutions have changed dramatically.
“Black are dying” because instead of empowering them, we have infantilize them.
I am “red faced”, and “we must make a stand”. Certainly against the bullshit security that enables this violence and creates copycats leaves me utterly red faced. Starting war after war and spending a king’s treasure to no good end, leaves me red faced.
And yes, of course poor should not be starving. Again the reasons solutions have changed, but the messages is the same. We’ve squandered and given away a king’s treasure. Meanwhile we’ve enabled debilitating multigenerational welfare.

I couldn’t do what she did by forgiving her husband’s murderer, very powerful moment.

I have a good friend, an old lady down the street who lives alone. She is often out at night. Until recently she refused to lock her doors (we’re in a small city) or her car. Oh and she is perceived as being wealthy.
Finally after years of conversations and examples of why this unsafe she is finally capitulating to my cajoling. The final straw came when she came home at 2 AM and found her door ajar. She called the police and they came.
The police were pretty flabbergasted that she did not lock her doors. The shaming they gave her, the embarrassment and fear made her change her ways.
The question isn’t is their crime out there or are Democrats crazy? The question is are you going be their next victim?
That is the only question.
