I was on the Covfefe website yesterday to try and order some more dark roast. Come to find that the site (at present, at least) is not listing any coffee products for sale, at all. It keeps saying, "There are no products listed under this category." This, for all the different varieties of coffee. They still sell Covfefe based merch, cups, etc. etc. but no coffee. I tried to contact them but got no response.

I wonder what's up with these guys? I guess, for now (if not permanently), I'll have to pick another brand. So, either, Black Rifle Coffee (endorsed by Dana Loesch) or Blackout Coffee (sponsored by Jared Yanis of "Guns & Gadgets" fame).

    Your choice?

I've been drinking this brand for a while now. I really like their dark roast stuff. They also donate to veteran causes.

    WTF
The BRC CEO has been sued multiple times by investors for fraud, charged with sexual assault by an employee, and donated through actblue to multiple communists including queen hillary. He has also said he doesn't want you to be a customer if you have supported the orange man and called you racist.

How in the fuck are people still buying their shit coffee when their founder is such a POS?

This is another really good one.

While I am thinking of it... Warpaw Winery is another great veteran-owned company that makes some out of this world wines. Which I'd love to have more of... but they are really spendy. Have gotten some bottles at charity auctions and raffles, though.

    OK, so definitely not BRCC.

It will be up to Blackout Coffee and some of the others you have mentioned. I'm checking pricing (as it turned out, Covfefe was the cheapest per oz. than all the others, but if I do a subscription to Blackout, it gets the closest to the Covfefe price. Furthermore, the Blackout Coffee people offer Free shipping for subscriptions. I'm liking their "Brewtal Awakening" dark roast whole bean.

    We'll see

If you want the full sensual experience of coffee, start with green beans from vendors like https://www.sweetmarias.com/

You can keep this as simple as roasting on a stovetop or in a cheap, electric popcorn maker. This give you full control of the roast type.

I wish I had the time to roast it myself. 'Fraid not. Best I can do is buy "Whole Bean."

It only takes a few minutes and can run parallel with cooking breakfast for example.

Anyone tried the Crockett coffee that a few conservative pundits are pushing on their radio shows?

We love our Batdorf and Bronson “Dancing Goats” blend and it’s honestly the best coffee I’ve ever had, but would love to support a company more in line with my values. We do the 5# subscription and they roast the beans the day it ships if you buy 5# or more at a time.

We only do whole bean, and grind it in very small batches; only enough to do a couple day’s worth of brewing at a time. That’s really the key to a good cup of coffee…has to be a fresh grind. I can’t see how anyone can drink the stuff that comes in those K-cup things, they taste like dust and ashes to me.

Damn you people must be coffee purists or something, I must be a poor or am just a simple man , maxwell for me or if not at eye level ,folgers

I wouldn't say "purist," but if I can make my coffee a certain way, I'll do that. For one thing, I prefer espresso, or Cuban espresso. I prefer to grind the whole bean myself and as dark a roast as I can get. If I were a purist, I'd insist on using my 2-cup "puck" (ie the little thing that holds the coffee grounds inside the espresso machine) for just 2 espresso "cups" only and then repeat that with a 2nd 2 cup puck for an additional two cup's worth. But I don't. I have a carafe which holds 4 cups and I use that with one 2 cup puck. The result is a somewhat "diluted" espresso 4 cup yield, but it works for me. I then infuse some ground stick Sri-Lankan Cinnamon and a small amount of pure 100% Sucralose (Sweetener) and then I strain it into a Styrofoam Dixie cup with a lid I can drink through. I do have the tiny ceramic espresso cups, but I'd only use those with guests...

See, I'm not a "purist!" :ROFLMAO:

Just ordered 4 different types to see if I can replicate my preferred Dancing Goats medium-dark roast…

Gonna be tough to beat that Batdorf & Bronson Dancing Goats blend though… I mean it when I say it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried many, many brands and types from all over the world.

Closest I’ve come to matching this was coffee we grabbed at a train station just outside Rome, and another that was very different, but still a very nice cup of joe at a little cafe in downtown Christchurch, NZ back when I was flying the ice missions to McMurdo Station.

Edit: Both of those used a dark roast Illy brand beans IIRC, despite being on opposite sides of the world…so anything along those lines clearly suits my palate. Any recommendations?

    Johnny B likes Blackout.

    Ceylon or Saigon cinnamon? 😂

Ceylon, of course. What I absolutely don't want is "Cassia" Cinnamon. I've seen studies that say Cassia contains a chemical that can be hazardous if not eventually fatal to people if consumed in excess. The problem being, most cinnamon sold as "powdered" etc. is Cassia.

Thus, I get this stuff on Amazon - SloFoodgroup Sri-Lankan stick Cinnamon... And I grind it up, just as I grind up my whole beans. Separate grinders, though. :D

Fucking hilarious! And that pretty much sums up how I feel about flavored coffee in general.

Ahhhhh.... I had forgotten about all the "Syrups" they can use in people's coffee. Definitely no Hazelnut or any other kind of syrup. Yeeeccchhhh!

I have gone ahead and started a subscription order for 2 12oz bags of "Brewtal Awakening" whole bean. We'll see how it goes.

I really can't recommend anything... simply because you are the master of your own palate. As I am mine, and certainly our tastes will differ.

Frankly, I was spoiled with my time in central/south America when it comes to coffee. I've never been able to duplicate what I had there regardless of what regional beans or roasts I have ordered. I had coffee in Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil and Argentina. It seemed the further south the better. The best coffee in my experience was tossup between Bolivia and Argentina. However, they were all excellent and better than anything I have had stateside. I have to imagine that the difference at this point was freshness of the product, the roast and method used and mostly the brewing process. But I really don't know.
As far as Blackout coffee is concerned, yes, I have had better (to my taste buds) but they are very quality conscious and more importantly to me, they send part of my money I spend with them to GOA, FPC and are strong 2A supporters. Unlike BRCC.
