Uh brah no.... Different action different bolt

I'm fixing it. Keyboard autocorrected. AT-X, not AT-XC.

Has anyone run an elite iron bipod on their at-x or will it not fit?
That question is too vague, as EI makes all sorts of adapters with different barrel-top to rail distances. You’re sort of asking, “How long is a piece of string?”

I’ve attached an EI on a AX. I’m positive that EI makes an adapter that will allow what you seek.

Does anybody have the weight of the atx or Atxc without a barrel? Or ideally without a barrel, bridge and bag rider? Trying to spec out a a build to ride just under 16 lbs. Thanks

I don't, but I'd say it is at least 25% lighter than when new. 750 rounds through the gun as it sits. Really started to lighten up after approximately 3-400 rounds

I can now easily cycle the bolt while staying on the scope without losing sight picture, which was near impossible previously

Bolt lift does not significantly drop; the action becomes very smooth. My bolt lift after 3 barrels feels tiny bit better. Operator gets used it too. That whole myth of heavy bolt lift goes away is placebo.
Potentially but the action was always smooth. I can now easily cycle the bolt while staying on the scope without losing sight picture, which was near impossible previously due to the effort required to manipulate the bolt

The finish smooths out on AI rifles with the first 1K rounds for sure. The finish on the cocking ramp probably smooths out some as well helping bolt lift a tiny amount. Don't even need to use the 7-axis mill, after 1k down the pipe it's smoother. :p

I have 3 barrels ready to get chambered for my ATXC. It just dawned on me that the 1.250 straight contour wouldn’t fit on the ATX with the bridge installed. I assume the same applies to the ATXC doesn’t it? If so I’ll have to see if he can turn these down a tad bit…

Totally forgot I had this old 1.25 m27 tenon barrel for my AXSA. 1.250 straight contour will fit in the ATXC but it is tight. I’m going to have my smith cut those barrels for my Impacts instead, and send him some CRB comps instead for the XC just so there is more clearance.

I believe they would fit the ATX similar to what your ATXC is showing in the pic. But when fired the barrel flexed enough to make contact. @Nik H I'm pretty sure had a similar fit on his ATX and that was the issue

Ya its real close. Sucks I bought those blanks with the intentions of going on the ATXC but ill run them on the impacts. I like the free weight of the straight contour.

That was the case on my AT. The straight contour would not work with my NV bridge.

Being LH, I am not allowed to have the new ATXC or whatever they call it now...LOL

You also didn’t think you were allowed to have a LH 300 WM bolt either…

But 8 short years later and here we are!!

You hang in there my wrong handed friend

2034 is your year…I feel it

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this but I was wondering if anyone could help with this. I currently have an AT-XC on order and of course I’m already planning all the things I want to do with it. How hard is it to get an extra bolt for the AT-XC and have a gun smith open it up to fit a 6.5 PRC bolt face? I’ve heard the AT-X and AT-XC bolts are not interchangeable but I could be wrong.I’m sure my terminology may not be correct but I’m new to this. Any help would be great.

Speaking of "waiting pants".....any word on when lefty at-xc will ship? Lol
Man I wish I had info on the left rifles. I have heard nothing and I ask somewhat frequently.

And getting the extra bolt for an AT is just an ordering problem really. In many cases we had some in stock they might just be tied up on an LE order since LE used that rifle for a long time in a lot of places. But that bolt existed as a part # and could be ordered.

I have heard of no time frame on even producing extra bolts for the AT-XC.

The AT bolts go in runs. When they released them last time EO, MH and Mountic had them all at the same time. I managed to snag two and converted one for my WSM setup.

It be interesting if they do another run of them or try a run of ATXC bolts. I can’t imagine there’s many ATXC owners who want or may need a spare bolt vs all the AT/AX owners still out there looking for them. Especially when they can concentrate efforts towards the AXSR platform instead

I tried to order xc bolts through sporting services and they say it’s do-able if you have an import license. The paperwork to get the license was extensive and required approval on both ends from what I can remember. Sporting services said getting the bolts from AI wouldn’t take much time at all, but I quit pursuing it due to the timeframe of approvals.
