i have used a picnic table before but that requires 2 people to move. May not be possible for you but shooting out of the back of the truck has always been the easiest setup for me.

18 inches isn't near enough barrel to get a high bc 7mm bullet moving Bullets like a 162 amax or 168 vld are Gunna need at least 24 " to be worth the trouble

T5s are my new favorite used to run a5 s but te thumb hole really helps me get more solid when shooting positional. Being able to get a full hand wrap on the grip or hold it like a vertical grip stock is really nice
