    Rifle Scopes Liberty Optics....Thumbs Up!

Yes another Scott at Liberty Optics is the man post. A few months back I contacted Scott via e-mail regarding the cost and availability of a Trijicon TR-24 1-4X green triangle reticle scope. This was around 0030 hours on a Sunday. Within ten minutes, Scott replied with an awesome quoted...

Need some suggestions on coyote calls

Re: Need some suggestions on coyote calls I use the open reed Les Johnson RuffiDawg Jr. call. Works really good for me. Takes a little practice.....I practiced while driving to and from work. It is good for distressed rabbit, wounded woodpecker, coyote challenge, and wounded coyote calls...

    Good headlight

Re: Good headlight A little out of the box as far as head lamps go but the guys at candlepower forums seem to like the ZebraLight head lamps. Not 350 lumen but small and handy. Check 'em out! http://www.zebralight.com/Headlamp_c_7.html

    Water purifier

Re: Water purifier Check out the First Need XL water purifier. The only "purifier" that does not use UV lights or chemicals. It is really great....turned my coca-cola into water! A buddy of mine filtered water out of a cow-pie urine puddle. It is my favorite...

    New to precision reloading.....powder charge?

Okay, I'm new to reloading for precision shooting. I've been doing some reloading and shooting and have some concerns over my powder charging based on the difference in FPS from round to round. I'm weighing every charge using a Redding BR3 powder thrower, an RCBS 505 scale, and a Redding...

Varget - Older powder more powerful???

I have some Varget from 1999 and loaded some .308 with 175 SMK in Win. brass, CCI BR-2, and 42 grains of Varget as a starter load. It seemed a little hot. Is old or older lots of Varget more powerful than the new lots?

Starting point - Powder Charge for TAC

Re: Starting point - Powder Charge for TAC Nine Hotel, Thanks for the link. I looked that over earlier but as I'm still "new" to reloading. Would a 155 gr. Sierra Palma have the same powder charge as a 155 gr. Lapua Scenar. I also see there is no recommended charge for the 175 gr. Sierra...

Starting point - Powder Charge for TAC

Got my Patriot Arms Rem. 700 .308 with a 22 inch barrel and just mounted my USO SN3 TPAL. Now it's time to develope a load. I plan on using the TAC powder I have on hand as it meters well. What do you all suggest for starting and ending charge weights to push 155 gr. Lapua Scenars and 175 gr...

RL550 set up with off-the-press powder measuring?

Need some help and advice. I'd like to measure powder using my Redding 3BR powder measure, RCBS 505 scale and Redding powder trickler to ensure the most accurate charges using Varget and others. My idea is to first size, clean, and prep brass. Then to use the 550 in a semi-progressive mode to...
