    Re: 1-9 twist for a 300 W M ? I have a 1 in 9 twist 300 win mag, it shoots most anything over 180grs well up to and including the 240 SMKs, I mainly shot 208 AMAXs though because I can push them faster and they group better for me.

    Picking up a donor 700LA today and contemplating what to build. Then the blackout came to me. Is that possible with a long action? Or would it be more practical to find a short action with a 223 boltface to begin with? The LA is a 30-06, if that matters.

    Re: Heat/Fire Wedge What about the extra wear that bullets with longer bullet surface to rifling have than those with less. for example a bullet that contacts the rifling for .5" vs a bullet that only contacts it for .4", same weight but there is more area to wear?

    Re: Getting Suppressor - Stuck Between AR15 or LR308 Check out Tactical Suppressed Weapons 30cal can. Works great on my 308, 300 win mag, and ar's in muliple calipers. just get the guns threaded to fit or get an adapter to make it fit.
