Reviews for Nosler Custom Compitition Bullets

Re: Reviews for Nosler Custom Compitition Bullets I've been using them for a couple of years now. I use them in my 223 (52 gr) 6.5 Creedmoor (140)and 308 (168). They shoot just as good as SMK but at a better price.

German semi auto reproductions of Stg44, FG42, G43

Re: German semi auto reproductions of Stg44, FG42, G43 I have wanted a FG42 for as long as I can remember. Hay SMGGUNS any chance of a NY compliant rifle. I would sell off whatever it took to get one.

Nosler Custom Comp 6.5mm 140gr bullets?

Re: Nosler Custom Comp 6.5mm 140gr bullets? I've been using the Nosler 140 CC bullet for about a year now in my 6.5 Creedmoor and have nothing bad to say about them. My custom Creedmoor shoots them like a lazer beem, 10 round groups less than 1/2". I also use there 168 CC bullet in my 5 308...

    308 neck Sizing queston

Re: 308 neck Sizing queston I always use a mica neck lube kit. A quick dip does both inside and outside. It also lets you see how far down the neck your sizing too.

Anyone not like the AICS chassis? Why?

Re: Anyone not like the AICS chassis? Why? I love mine, the fit is great. the extra weight isnt a problem. The only problem I have with the stock is its a little slower when cycling the bolt. For me atleast that is. My TRG is so much faster, but thats a whole different can of worms to open.

Gunsmithing converting AICS mags for 6mmbr feeding

Re: converting AICS mags for 6mmbr feeding I have that article already. Didn't go into too much info on mag work. I have a 1-14 twist and shoot 68 grainers and have a shorter OAL.

Did a surch and came up with nothing. Is there anyone doing this. Would it be better to modify a 308 or 223 mag. Thanks.

    TRG 22/42 caliber choice - 300WM or 308WIN?

Re: TRG 22/42 caliber choice - 300WM or 308WIN? Go with the trg-22 and dont look back.It will do everything you want it to. Less recoil cheeper to shoot. I've had mine for 3 years now and have pretty much shelved my other tactical rifles.

    7.62X39 AR build...anybody done one?

Re: 7.62X39 AR build...anybody done one? I picked up a Colt 20" HBAR flat top upper back in 1996. It's a great shooter. With handloads I can shoot thumb tacks at 100yrds at will. When I use it for deer I use wolf 154gr softpoints, and havent lost one yet. My 6yr old daughter loves to shoot...

    Kimber Advanced Tactical

Re: Kimber Advanced Tactical I have to agree with the bolt issue. That straight bolt handle makes fast follow up a pain if you dont shoot alot. $1700 is one smoking deal. Mine does it's best with 168 handloads, I can hold 10 round groups under an inch all day long.

    68 gr. Hornady BTHP Match

Re: 68 gr. Hornady BTHP Match I couldnt get those 68 grainers to shoot as tight as 52/53 grain bullet. Both of my target rifles have 1/9 twist, DPMS 20" and Rem 700P 26" barrels. Load was with 25.0 H4895. No luck over her so I gave up and stayed with the lighter bullets. You know the old...

Re: 7 year old reloader! Thought I was the only one. My 5 yr old daughter loves to hang out with my in my gun room. I even mad her a little bench to help out when she wants to. She loves to work the presses and even does alot of my bullet sizing and lubing. I told her she has to wait until...

Single stage press inappropriate 4 handgun loads?

Re: Single stage press stupid for handgun loads? There is nothing wrong with a good single stage for pistol rounds. Yes it takes longer, but it helps with getting the steps right. I started with a single stage press 35 years ago and I still have 2 set up on my bench right now and use them...
