    Sidearms & Scatterguns Question about Red Dot for SIG P226

    Not a great pic but it's my 226 scorpion elite with rmr (3.5). I really, really like it. Mark Housel from L&M precision did a great job and worked with me on a very tight timeline. Suppressor height night sight in the bottom 1/3 are also great. No complaints here.

    No way your 14.5 is too short for good accuracy within reason, especially when you feed it good ammo like you mentioned. I have both the DI LMT 5.56 and piston 5.56 in 14.5 and they are both quite accurate with good ammo. I don't shoot a lot of paper but when I do or another experienced gas gun...

    Surefire, PWS or SJC

    I Have surefire SOCOM brake on LMT 308 and 5.56. I have been very happy with them. Loud but very effective. I also have a couple SOCOM flashiders and they do well in low light with 14.5 inch 308 and 5.56.

    Trijicon is nice and clear but HEAVY and bulky as you said. I've used the trijicon a lot but MUCH prefer my mk6 in every way. Yes, lit reticle needs batts BUT, you still have a good day optic with very good low light transmission. I am shocked at these new leupold's after taking a 4-5 year...

    I have one in 16ss (lm8mws), one in 18ss (mws) and a third custome fluted 14.5 all in 308. No issues, eat everything and all are accurate. Optics? Whew, that's a long topic and so subjective. If you hunt in the East and shoot steel 0-600; I really like my mk6 1-6x and my mk8 cqbss 1.1-8x...
