The only real limitation Apple puts on Bluetooth connectivity is the MFi license. When Kestrel and other companies say they can't support iOS or OSX due to bluetooth hardware limitations and Apple what they really mean is they do not want to pay the MFi royalties and licensing fee. I would...
My ATACR was that close to the rail on my 762 PredatOBR. I fired a few shots, and removed the scope, and there was a 1mm line down the bell housing where it had made contact. I opted for higher rings to be on the safe side. Shoot it and see.
You got it backwards. The wind closest to you has the most affect. The time of flight will be longer. A basic formula for calculating two different wind values is 2/3 for wind at your position, and 1/3 for wind at target. (2*5) + (1*10) = 20/3 = 6.6 This is assuming full value wind coming...
BryanLitz does Kestrel have any plans to release an iOS-compatible, BlueTooth version of the 4500? Is the current limitation hardware related, or license related due to MFi requirements? As an iOS engineer this seems like a huge market being left out.
The ATACR was the first scope I bought so I don't have a lot of experience with other scopes or brands. However, I did use my friend's Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 and based on that felt like the quality of Nightforce was worth investing in. I love my ATACR. I was shooting steel out to 700 today just...
Tony, any ETA on when these will be available for sale? I'm in for a 26 and 30 ounce. Plus I will probably pick up my third SAC. Those things are great!
I like my 20oz, but some situations having a little more would be perfect so my vote is for a 26oz. If that wasn't enough I could always lay the 20oz under it.
I saw your post, and thought it was funny as hell. I'm surprised they banned you. I'm about done with that site anyways. Also, the guy was complaining about 4" groups at 100 yards using a 4 MOA red dot. Maybe he can't put the dot in the same spot every time?
I bought a Bullnose Skinner from Ben at Fallen Oak Forge and it is solid. His prices are really good for a custom knife, and if you don't see something you like, or want to make a change you can just ask him. https://www.etsy.com/shop/FallenOakForge
I have the double-deckers and love them. It takes a little practice to put an empty mag back in because they are really tight when new. I put 3 on their drop leg panel, and it worked great at a carbine class I took back in December.
LOL, that is the law of the internet. Any attempt to correct grammar will in itself contain a grammatical error. That's what I get for being snarky! :o
