Bergara did sell barreled actions at one point. As their popularity has gone up, they decided to allocate all parts to complete rifles. I believe they have plans to sell barreled actions again in the future.

I used a smith local to me. His name is Eric Goss, owner of Axisworks in Tempe AZ. Originally quoted 6 weeks. Dropped off my parts, and was told 2 weeks. 9 days later I picked up my first custom barreled action. 3 weeks from parts procurement to complete build. I was pretty stoked about that.

Ordered 8/13, received shipping notice yesterday afternoon. Delivery scheduled for 9/13. I emailed Jon once to confirm that I ordered the correct caps for my Kahles 525. He responded within 1 hour.

I use adhesive backed felt found in the craft section of Walmart. Cheap, and it works.

Just an idea, I have no idea what I’m talking about. Is it possible to pour an additional concrete pedestal on top of the existing slab then bolt into that? It would add an additional challenge of lifting the safe on top of it, but I’m sure it could that be overcome.

Shooting off a concrete bench and using a bipod/rear bag I have achieved 3/4"-1.5" 5 shot groups at a 100 yards with bulk XM193. This was out of a 20" JP supermatch barreled scoped AR. Not the most consistent ammo by any means, but for short range practice I think it will serve you just fine.
