Aervoe is just tough paint. It bridges the gap between paint and a coating, but is as easy to apply and as cheap as rattle cans (dsg arms is the cheapest place to get it at 6 bucks a can). plus, a HUGE range of color choices. What I do is wipe everything with acetone. If I can do parts...

I just noticed you're in SW PA. For an effective camo in your neck of the woods, I would suggest mimicking the Finnish camouflage. An emphasis on tones of green (60%), browns (30%), and a medium gray (10%). I can't recall what eastern PA looks like in the winter time, so you may want to change...

One more quick thing....If you want a Sage or "foliage green" color, I would check out Aervoe "Khaki". It actually comes out like a lighter foliage green. Their actual "foliage green" is a nice color, but really dark....almost blue. I'm not sure where it would be effective at all honestly...

And if you need a "reset button," Methylene Chloride will peel it all right off in about 10 seconds without a trace. Just do NOT get it on your skin.

Here you go: Hard to see, but top left is Krylon Khaki---it's more of a gray tone, compared to top left Rusto Khaki which is more yellow tone. Bottom is Rusto Brown which is "slightly" darker and more chocolately than Krylon Brown. Rusto brown is a better choice for woodlands, while Krylon...

Not satisfied with my Remington 700's group size...

Thank you, Sterling, this is quite helpful actually. I've had some informal instruction from a shooter who knows much more than I in between that group shot, and eventually hitting 1000. I think what got me to 1000 is listening to his advice, some of which is dead-on with what you mentioned in...

Advanced Marksmanship Carbon and copper, what can it hurt?

Anything good or bad about running a dry bore snake through my .308 after each range trip? I have 260 rounds through the rifle total. haven't cleaned yet.

"How to" modify the 29$ Ruger Gunsight polymer mags to work in a ACIS

To spare anyone the hassle, 10 round AICS mags do not work in a GSR. The GSR metal ones work in an AICS chassis, but not the reverse. I think it has to do with a latch over-stamped or something as I recall, but it took me about 15 minutes to yank that sucker out.

    How many of you sumbeotches...

LOL What's the price tag? I have an interest in seeing this kind of technology develop as a tool to assist the shooter, but am leery of products designed to "do the work for you." It's like when digital cameras came out, everyone thought they could be a professional photographer because there...

Not satisfied with my Remington 700's group size...

I'm a brand new shooter to long range, but so far this is the best I can do out of my Rem700 SPS for groups: Yet, I got out to 1000 for my first time a few weeks ago, and was able to consistently hit (like 6 out of 6, or 6 out of 7 or something) on the 1k plate with the same rifle (but...
