Just finished a 4 day hunt with my Nox 18. It’s a phenomenal spotter, and I managed to center punch a yote at 165 yards. That said, I find it a little light on native mag, and I’m trying to decide if I should trade for a 35-50mm setup or sell it and get inline for the Halo-X35
I think he’s working on it. As someone who has a PVS-9 of his own, I would put the image on par with a PVS-27, possibly slightly better depending on your optics and individual tubes.
Almost everyone I’ve heard who’s used them has nothing great to say about them. Sounds like a good idea with lacking execution. But I’ve always been intrigued by them.
My understanding is the 21 will accept and overlay any input it gets on a standard BNC our connector. The one real “drawback” I’ve heard of in my limited exposure to the 21 is the intensifiers are pretty much potted permanently from the factory
Ended up passing on both units. I have a PAS-13v1 which works pretty well. And I’ll probably save my pennies and use rentals till I find a good deal, or just what I want.
If you’re patient, a Simrad KN203 or KN253 / PVS-9 will probably show up in that price range every couple months or so. I think there were two listed for 1900-1700 in the past 4-5 weeks. By far the best performing system you’re likely to find in that price range.
Looking to purchase a thermal for hog/yote hunting reaching out to maybe 300-350 yards. I’ve used the Pulsar trail x50 (340 res), I would like something a little above that. I’ve found both the CNVD and the MKII at about the same price. My primary desire is clarity. I’ve never looked through...
A PVS-9 SIMRAD clip on would do the job. Youd have to convert to Badger rings in each and every gun you want to run it on. I've got mine on a 6-24x scope and I can use it to 12x and 200 yards with great clarity. Haven't got a chance to stretch it further yet but I've been impressed so far...
