    is loctite 620 still recommended for barrel/upper mating?

    620 is specifically made for cylindrical gaps and works well for bedding barrels. Its not a band aid. It will take a torch to get the barrel out though as you need 500f to release. Heat close enough to the extension till it smokes then tap it out with a wooden dowl in the receiver.

    I assume your trying to keep the weight down. The 3-15 nxs is 30 oz and significantly longer, compared with 19 and 22 of the others. I have the Mk6 on my obr and it fits that rifle well. Another option you might look at is the March 3-24x42, 12" and 22 oz. Just ordered one to go on a Grendel...

    I've hunted with my mws but as stated it's a pig to tote around. It's very accurate and reliable though. For an all around rig the ptobr would be much better suited.

    To build a M1a (M14) or AR-10

    The AR10 with a decent barrel will easily outshoot the m14. I've got a LRB top of the line model with Krieger heavy and McMillan stock and my ar10s are far better precision wise. So it really depends on how you like both rifles. If your wanting to shoot the smallest groups/scores then go AR10...

    Shoots well but I also pulled it apart and bedded the barrel with 620. I do not have any of the powder your using. I did load up some 120 Sierra's with rl15 but got some vertical stringing. Still in the 1" range. Best has been with factory elds so far. .5" squares.

    Followed your lead and replaced the bcq with a Lantac E and JPscs H2 and the rifle actually groups now. Used the Larue bolt. Was only using the 6x Burris, but it's a significant improvement. post here page 13.
