Do you even own a GAP10? If not, did you borrow one? If you borrowed, how many shots did you put through the barrel? How many rounds have gone through the borrowed GAP10 prior to you shooting? What ammunition was used? How long did you wait between firing each round? Is there a cool down...

If $2,000 is your budget then look into a PWS MK218 6.5 Creedmoor. I had their mk114 which functioned great and their customer service is excellent. The only knock is that they have proprietary parts due to their unique piston system.

Probably don't need to be concerned for another 15,000 rounds if shooting with a mix of surplus, hand loads, and match ammo.
