$529.00 is a crazy low price. Cheapest I saw when searching just now was roughly $1,000.00. Can you shoot me a link where you see that price by chance? Reason I mention it is that I do have a Sightron SIII for sale. (#25006) It's the Sightron SS 6-24x50LR FFP/MOA with the MOA-2 reticle...
Man that's a lot of great info. Still trying to digest. Can this be done using .25 MOA as the multiplier as opposed to the 0.3 MOA? Say the 6mph wind moves my bullet .25 MOA @ 100 yd. Would my formula then be ".25 x Distance in Yards" ? (with a 6mph full value wind?)
I have similar findings to the above post by 260284. I'm running H4350 w/ a 142gr Sierra Matchking. *Note: I was getting higher velocities in the Starline brass as opposed to the Hornady Brass. A more detailed comparison of Starline Small Rifle Primer Brass vs. Hornady Brass can be found...
Update* (Starline Small Rifle Primer Brass vs. Hornady Large rifle Primer Brass Reloading Report) Just got through with my first reloading session of the aforementioned Starline Brass. These are my results. I also have Hornady brass reloading data I will post here for comparison for *@Cascade...
Hi guys, Just wanted to try and help give back on this forum. Everyone here is a great bunch of guys with a wealth of knowledge so I'd like to give back where I can. I've developed some templates in Excel for reloading, range reports, and group analysis. It may seem like a lot of information...
I agree, but if this test was done at 100 yd. that vertical isn't due to velocity. That is more than likely an issue of not firing during the same respiratory pause, or another aspect of the fundamentals possibly.
Bit of an old thread here, but thought I'd add some info for others that may be looking for it. I recently purchased 250 pcs of Starline Brass (6.5 Creedmoor, small rifle primer brass.) A couple of notes before I list the average specs. 1) case mouths will arrive dented, approx. 40 pcs out...
I've got some 7.62x54R brass from some PPU match ammo. I was going use them for some handloads, but sold the rifle. I hate to waste good brass. It's free for whoever wants it, just pay shipping and i'll mail it to you (or local pick-up in Houston, TX). It's a couple of zip-lock sandwich...
I just made some targets in Excel and purchased some cheap dots on Amazon. Here's a .PDF of the targets so you can print them out. I've also included the amazon link for the stickers. Hope this helps! Splatterburst Targets 1 Inch SimpleSpot Adhesive Shooting Targets, 640 Targets, (Pack of...
I agree w/ ZiaHunter. The Hornady brass requires some case prep. I was able to achieve lower SD's as a whole with Hornady brass for my 6.5 Creedmoor. (Data is posted below). I did the following: uniform/debur flash holes, cleaned primer pockets, bevel and chamfered neck after trimming to...
Thanks for the info! I shot them left to right, each lot at a time. Normally I would shoot 1 of each type, but since I had my IR thermometer, I could make sure the barrel temp stayed within 10 deg.
I have a 24" stock barrel on the Ruger Precision Rifle right now. Could be a pulled shot, I didn't call any fliers to be fair. The squares are Half Inch squares so they weren't terrible fliers I really want to choose #6, 42.0gr. because of the SD value of 1.4, but #5 prints to a different...
Hi guys, First post here on the forum. Did a workup of a new load in my Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. I was looking for some input on what ya'll think my proper load might be? All loads printed within 1/10 of an inch of each other. I've included my data below. I usually look for...
New on the forums here. Hi Bang. I have the SP3R V3 rail on my RPR and it's Top Notch Good. The *handguard nut is a very secure design, followed up with 12 screws to keep the handguard in place. (yes 12 screws). MUCH better than the 2 that held the Samson on. The flat bottom of the Seekins is...
