    Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph

Just got a notice my order is canceled as well. I literally ordered it from them before anyone even posted they had it. Said in stock and got to the preparing for shipment step in the order status. Ridiculous. Literally almost every retailer had it in stock when I placed my order. Now for a...

    Most reliable pump shotgun

590a1, 835, and 870 are the most reliable pumps. Only problems I ever seen with any of these is cartridge stops that were bent, bent action bars, or hulls that were a hair too long. All easy fixes. Even hulls being too long can be ok with a beveled ejection port. Check these areas and you will...

Price range for a CMMG 204 Ruger upper?

The 204 ruger is really nice for predator hunters saving pelts. Esp for fox and bobcat. Way less damage vs 223 or 22-250. Nice to have quick follow up shots if a pack of coyotes comes in. I personally stick with WOA 204 rugers barrels for ar15. Shilen is also decent. I like krieger for bolt...

    Bartlein New Barrel Material 400MODBB

I have 6mm creedmoor barrels from wilson blanks, proof, bartlien, and bartlien MODBB. The MODBB is tougher steel just based on watching the gas port with a bore scope. The proof is wearing way faster at the gas port than any barrel. The wilson breaks in the fastest but then plateaus and the...

Rifle Scopes Scope for a 300prc

Berger discounted the 300 win ammo with the 215 and 230 in 2020. It shot amazing and think it was a huge mistake for them to get rid of it.

Rifle Scopes Nightforce NX8 2.5-20x50 - Initial Thoughts

I run 4 of the 2.5-20 F1 on ARs and 2 of the 4-32 F1 on bolt guns. The 2.5-20 is the best scope for a huge FOV. The 4-32 is a really nice setup for bolt actions. The parallax needs adjustment more on the top end of both models. When guys run the 2.5 up to 16x and the 4 up to 24x they are rarely...

Rifle Scopes Nightforce NX8 2.5-20x50 - Initial Thoughts

The 2.5-20 F1 is an effective scope for the ar platform. I have 4 of those scopes. 2 with the mil c and 2 with the mil xt. I have zero issues with the eye box. The only thing is you have to adjust parallax frequently if above 16x.

Beginner Questions. MRAD vs. AI? 300NM vs. 300PRC vs. 338LM

H1000 and retumbo can be too fast in a lot of 300 normas. It has to be due to various freebore lengths how much pressure is hit initially. I really like H1000 and retumbo in 300 win and 300 prc with 205-225 gr bullets. If you can ever find N568 it is probably the most versatile of the slower...

Beginner Questions. MRAD vs. AI? 300NM vs. 300PRC vs. 338LM

I get awesome groups with the berger 230 hybrid otm at 3050 fps with N570. In the 300 win with lapua brass and 300 prc with ADG brass getting 2830 and 2850 fps with N570.

Beginner Questions. MRAD vs. AI? 300NM vs. 300PRC vs. 338LM

My 300 Norma shoots 230s 200 fps faster than the same barrel length in a 300 prc. No salt shaker issue with any slow power. N565, N568, N570, H1000, Retumbo, rl33 normally have a case fill of almost 100%. The key is to run lapua brass in the 300 norma. The norma brass for that cartridge has...

    .204Ruger projectile advice saught

Your twist rate might not be fast enough at your elevation for the 40 gr vmax. The only thing you could try is to find a higher node where maybe the bullet can be fully stable at higher velocity. My factory remington 204 shoots the 40 gr vmax best but the twist rate is about 1/4" faster. Have...

    1-8x LPVO for 14.5” 5.56

I currently own the ATACR and VCOG 1-8 The ATACR is the clearest by far but mild fish eye on the edge of the image at 1x. Best choice if shooting further often. Have shot with this optic out to 800 yards frequently. Very pleasant all around. Great light gathering even with just moonlight. Buy a...

204 Ruger - yay or nay?

My 204 ruger feeds awesome with Lancer mags. Pmags you can modify to work but not worth the hassle. Most all steel mags work. My 204 ruger is a 26" +2 woa and can get almost same fps as a 24" bolt gun running 40gr vmax. The bolt gun is getting swapped to a 26" barrel when the current barrel is...

    AR10 Build

Those RCA bolt carriers work awesome in Aero builds. Gives you a lower recoil impulse and you can still use the forward assist if loading quietly for hunting.

    Spotting Scope options, Zeiss, Kowa

The birders, coues whitetail hunters, and sheep hunters (they want to count growth rings) are the most picky when it comes to clarity. Birders and coues hunters are the most picky with color. I am a coues hunter. You have to have perfect color to find them when bedded in brush.

    300 PRC vs. 300 RUM

The 300 prc gives almost the same fps with a 230 gr berger if loaded correctly at the same pressures. Only 15 fps difference. The advantage of the 300 prc is for the none reloader. Case capacity is within 2 grains of each other, 95 gr vs 97 gr. If you don't mind a single shot the 300 rum...

    Spotting Scope options, Zeiss, Kowa

Kowa or Swarovski are the best spotting scopes. I run the Swarovski because I can swap between an 85mm and 115mm and a STX and BTX. The Kowa is the best bang for you buck if just running a single spotter. Another good option is dual Swarvoski spotters on the bracket from the guy in Prescott, AZ...
