Sightmark Pinnacle has a pretty unforgiving eyebox over 20x, which is a no-no for me. It's got decent glass and a good EBR-2D clone reticle. Resale is going to suck. I picked one up for $800 and returned it. As much as I like to automatically give a Japanese scope the win, you might be better...

Don't like the eyebox despite the entire internet saying they're so flexible; have bought and sold multiples. The 4.5-27 model just never presents a full circular image for my eyes. Glass is not the worst, not the best. Decent turrets, illumination, and great warranty/service. I like the 3-18...
Only the PST II and Ares offer Christmas tree rets (Burris if you want to count the H591). Stick with whatever you want, but resale is typically lower on MOA (at least on this forum).
I could pinch two rings closer together near the turret housing and mount it forward, yes, but I'm looking to maintain a wider scope ring distance. More of an aesthetics thing. The Spuhr 4026 and 3026 are both 1.26" for anyone who might be thinking of it.
Checked around on all the big players, nobody seems to make a set of cantilevered rings or mounts lower than 1" for 30mm or 34mm tubes. Just no demand? On most rigs, I can get away with 0.8" for a 56mm objective. Putting an AR-height mount just makes me run out of riser adjustment.
