Rifle Scopes AR-10 Optic Mounting: Rings vs. One Piece? Height?

I recently put a 3-18 razor on my sig 716 and I definitely required a cantilever. Spuhr 4616 mounted as far forward as possible without touching the handguard worked out perfect for me, all my ar platforms have the ocular even with the charging handle.

Rifle Scopes How ya like my new scope level?

Cool! I assume you’re the “k” in MK machining? I’m pretty sure I’ve put one of your kids thru college, I have at least one of your products on every rifle I own. Very happy with all the metal stuff, and even the printed throw levers but I’m not real keen on the printed rail level, but hey it’s...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Recoil rebound spring for Glock

Just wanted to give a small review on a product i assumed to be a gimmick. They stack a set of Belleville washers on the recoil rod to absorb the impact of the slide hitting bottom. (Try racking your slide hard and feel the metal on metal impact at the far rearward position) I found this at the...

Clamp vs Set Screw gas block

I read the same thing years ago and it made sense at the time but hasn’t played out to be true in my experience. YRMV

    Subsonic .308 and Trailboss

Ya, I’ve heard that, but I also wouldnt hire a mechanic that owns one tool, no matter how good he was with it, LOL

Clamp vs Set Screw gas block

On a DI it doesn’t really matter, I feel like solids are easier to line up the gas ports but whatever floats your boat. on a piston I much prefer the solid with a properly dimpled barrel.

    .260 or 6.5 Creed....Vote AR 10 build

260, you’ll have something way more unique and not be shunned by 1/3 of the shooting community only to be the 2/3 newest fanboy with the creed. Ballistics are superior and I’d think extraction and feeding would be superior with the 260 as well.

Load development question for the group

If you’re new to rifle reloading, you have a lot of reading to do! It’s not quite like pistols where you just load for a specific PF and here we go. Highly recommend buying a Berger manual and reading the load development section. I’ve read numerous books on the subject and walt/bryan really...

    Better choice powder

I would recommend doing some load development with both. Highly recommend reading the load development section of a Berger manual. If you dont have one- buy one, best book I own

    Subsonic .308 and Trailboss

why are so many guys trying to subsonic a 308? I use the 300 blk with 8” 1:7 twist and I could not be happier. I understand you have to run what ya bring sometimes, but are there other reasons to do that to a 308?

Redding comp die set or S ?

back to the original question, I think most guys that multipurpose their gun will agree that a FL size die is the way to go. Have you read about partial FL resizing? I think the best die going is the ribs GMM dies -FL neck bushing sizer. If you dont find anything about partial FL sizing on here...

    Primers

Well, the Cci 250 is a LRM primer and the fed 210 is a LR primer. I assume you mean 250 vs 215? It’s widely accepted that Cci has a harder cup material while fed is a hotter primer. I’ve personally had ignition issues with cci primers in subzero temps in ultra magnum calibers, and fed primers...

Rifle Scopes Any feedback on ZR0 delta mounts?

While I’ve been fishing around on these Ive heard of a lot of thermal guys using them to attach their scope to the rifle after spotting freehand. Supposedly RTZ is fantastic. I don’t expect them to be a spuhr at ~ half the price. If only I could put a spuhr on everything haha.. :(

Rifle Scopes Any feedback on ZR0 delta mounts?

I found these on the inter webs the other day. They look freaking awesome but I’m skittish to buy one having never heard of them before. I’d post pics if I knew how. Yes I read the posting pics tutorial and it might as well have been in Portuguese. :/...

Rifle Scopes Cantilever mount & 30mm rings

Hunting & Fishing Where the predator guys at

Great idea, I think I might try this. I need to get an electric golf cart and I think I could creep into the area and ambush em a lot easier.

Hunting & Fishing Where the predator guys at

When I first started out I was batting 1000 for a long time before it started dropping off. (Hey this coyote killing is way easier than they make it out to be on tv!) I thought it would level off at an enjoyable level, but it just keeps going downhill. I need to find a hunting buddy with some...

Hunting & Fishing Where the predator guys at

I understand, I’m just saying if they do smell me, they definitely aren’t close enough to see me or figure out what’s going on, several hundred yds away is the closest cover for them to hide at night. Just saying I couldn’t have educated an entire population i this manner imho

Hunting & Fishing Where the predator guys at

Ps- the only time I get busted is when a large group comes in I kill one or two, the rest get a free education but there is no way they’re spotting or smelling me from several hundred yds at night and I’m not seeing them.

Hunting & Fishing Where the predator guys at

100% night hunting w/ thermal I’ve tried about everything, but I’ve had the most success with cottontail or baby cottontail (their main food source around here.) I’ll play with some pup distress this time of year but I’ve never been successful with it. I always set up on open fields surrounded...
