Just an opinion but all of the scope mounted ones work pretty much the same. MK Machining and Vortex are the best value options, and yes the Accuracy First is nice.
From your pics it appears the nut is "staked". If indeed so you'll have to contend with that first and then really almost anything will work, even a hammer and punch.

Yes, it's true much of the crap we have/use is made in China. That tripod might be fine for your use and a good value. I have found though that the higher quality tripods like RRS have features and quality that lend themselves to be much more functional and dependable. I get it, $1400 bucks...
