    Canada bans all handguns

Rather than banning handguns, just make it illegal to engage in criminal activity with handguns....Wouldn't that work? (sarcasm)

Louisville, KY police chief says that people who don't support national gun registration are giving police the middle finger.

I guess if she/he/they/it wants to set those as the parameters I'm OK with that. Often when people present someone else with an ultimatum, they don't end up getting the response they were hoping for. I think that he/she/they/it will end up with many more middle finger responses than any...

One more SCOTUS decision that no one is talking about.

Limiting alphabet agencies ability to "make laws" will have a far more staggering effect than many people realize. It will rightly kick much of the "law making" power back to the legislative branches of government where it rightly belongs. Alphabet agencies are supposed to figure out how to...

    Any veterinarians? Snake bit dog.

I am stunned that anyone wouldn't go out of their way to take a snake bit dog to a vet.

    How to disable a tank?

48 hours is a good amount of time to come up with something creative. Help the tank loose a track and eventually the crew will come out. The crew can't shoot forward and backward at the same time...approach from the opposite direction of where the crew is shooting and help the tank develop...

    Tank Trap - seeking plans/advice

I was just trying to make some cheap props for the gun club's practical/precision rifle shooting group. We had a large wind storm that blew down some trees, so I took a saw and brought home some pieces that were 3-5 inches in diameter. Then I bought some large bolts, washers, and nuts, drilled...

    Tank Trap - seeking plans/advice

I made a number of them for the gun club out of the downed trees that followed a heavy wind storm. It took two bolts for each trap, Three bolts if I want to make them less portable where the legs can't be folded up. Years later and all of them are working just fine.

    Mental exercise about possibilities

I really appreciate all the input. It is a fun mental exercise for me. As I'm thinking "man portable" I think something like the Chey Tac 375 or 408 is about the upper limit of my consideration. I realize that 50 caliber might even be better, but from what I have found so far, the Chey-tac...

    Mental exercise about possibilities

I think the popularity of units such as Lab Radar has forced manufacturers into being more honest about the BC of bullets. As ColdBore007 noted, trivial velocity variations make a huge difference at ELR. This has resulted in many PRC type shooters having to use bench rest techniques for...

    Mental exercise about possibilities

I find it interesting that so many bullet manufacturers seem to "get away with" listing a higher BC for bullets than other people seem to get with the same bullets. That is part of my interest. Most people on this site know that a difference in a BC between a manufacturers listed .770 and what...

    Mental exercise about possibilities

I'm only considering bullets that are currently commercially available. If I found some obscure bullets that were a custom production item for a brief time, they they wouldn't be worth considering. Same thing applies to any bullets not in current commercial production. Essentially, heavy for...

    Mental exercise about possibilities

I was doing some mental exercises the other day comparing the bullets with the highest ballistic coeffieients starting at 6.5mm, then 7 mm, 30 caliber, and 338. I was trying to figure out if any of the newer heavy for caliber bullets would be able to surpass the 338 at longer distances for...

    FBI Sniper Rifles

I bought the SPR A3G because it had so many features that I liked such as it's feeding process. However, the first one wouldn't shoot worth a damn, and the second one (replacement for the first one) that I received about 15 months after returning #1 wouldn't feed rounds from one side of the...

Government using DOJ to Combat Parents

It isn't free speech that is getting the DOJ/FBI it is when those parents who object to CRT begin threatening school board members. The bigger problem that I see is the inconsistent manner in which the FBI/DOJ is enforcing laws about domestic terrorism. If they applied the same aggressive...

Rural road, high speed, need info.

Our neighborhood association had an issue a few years back where some residents were complaining about speeders and wanted speed bumps installed. They wanted the speed bumps put especially in front of their houses and have the association pay for them. Other residents rightly pointed out...

All the scams in the exchange

I'm pretty much suspicious of everyone until they have proven that I should have a different opinion. Respect and trust are earned. I'll grant almost everyone basic human dignity and be polite until they show me that being polite with them is a waste of time. Even though I'll grant that basic...
