Rifle Scopes USO Options and Opinions for bolt action .308

Re: USO Options and Opinions for bolt action .308 I hardly touch my windage knob with that reticle after it is zeroed. It is just easier to hold off with my .260 as 5mil takes me out to past 800 in a 20mph full value cross wind. Also, I do not use the illumination enough to warrant the...

    Lee Reloading Equiptment?

Re: Lee Reloading Equiptment? +1 on this response from timelinex. It all depends on your standards. When I finally got to loading 1/4MOA ammo with a 1/4MOA gun, I realized that I am not a 1/4 shooter off a bipod in "real" conditions. My lead sled and vice can shoot the combo to its...

    Lee Reloading Equiptment?

Re: Lee Reloading Equiptment? I got the lee anniversary kit when I started reloading and still use the neck sizer, bullet seater (sometimes) and the press. Went to a custom full length die, and a Forester seater. Cheap set to get started and you will upgrade what you need as you go.

LEARNINGS FROM SH SHORT RANGE RF COMPETITIONS

Re: LEARNINGS FROM SH SHORT RANGE RF COMPETITIONS One thing I learned was that I would have been much better off starting with .22 comps to get my skills up, them move to high power, cost a lot less and I think the end result is better. Spend the money on your .22, compete with it, and then...

    pick a 6.5 right now

Re: pick a 6.5 right now .260 but cant go wrong with any of them. The .260 I load for is so forgiving its hard to find a load without a 600-1000 ladder test.

    Blown primer and pressure signs?

Re: Blown primer and pressure signs? I have never been a fan of the cheap scales that are offered from some of the big names out there. Moved to a lab grade scale and found confidence in the weights. Gruff

    Trigger pull drills

Re: Trigger pull drills I tried some new things at the range and one of the things that helped was having my trigger finger low and graze the trigger guard as I fired. I could feel on the finger whether or not I was getting sloppy from right to left. Gruff

Re: Best "affordable" 22 out there Love my CZ 455 and with lilja making barrels for it when you get tired of non annie type accuracy, you can spend another $370 or so you can take it to the next level. http://rimfireshooting.com/index.php?showtopic=8318

    Trigger pull drills

Re: Trigger pull drills I would agree about the ergo part of the successful trigger pull. The more time I spend behind my current stock the more I am aware that it is not placing my hand in position that promotes consistency. I am a big fan of ar-15 type ergonomics. Going to make some...
