Unorthodox methods that work for you

Responding to another thread about which dies we prefer made me think about the dies I use and a situation I think is somewhat unique and how I cope with it. Some may cringe to hear it, but it works for me and my loads shoot great. From the factory, I noticed that the decapping/expanding ball...

Range Report By far my best range day.

I tried my own handloads for the first time today and all I can say is- I think I found my load. I sent my cold bore shot down range and punched a hole much closer to dead center than I expected so I stacked five more on top of it and had a .5" X .46" group sitting on top of my CBS. I just...

    Primer and powder sensitivity

I have often been told to store primers, primed brass, and powder indoors to avoid exposure to humidity. Many of the same people telling me this have their reloading benches in their garage. Suppressors CCW took a dunk today

Took an emergency swim today and did not have time to remove my pistol, got it cleaned up and all is good again. My question is about my ammo (.40 S&W)- I was in the water (brackish) for less than a minute, but it got me to thinking about whether or not it is worth sending the rounds down the...

    New .22

Just got a Model 1969 .22 Romanian Trainer from a guy at work for $40. Just finished cleaning it and it is in excellent mechanical condition but the stock is rough. 25yd sight leaf is broken off but 50 and 100yd leafs are intact. Cleaning/maintenance tube is still in the stock with all...

    Rifle Scopes Nikon 4-16x50 Monarch X Mil-dot

Anybody use this scope or have any experience with them? Just got one and would love some feedback, so far it is as clear and crisp as any scope I've looked through and the turrets give a good positive click when dialing them. Anyone else? Good? Bad?
