I'm a huge fan of SWFA scopes. That said I like the G2 reticle concept. The Bushnell has illumination if that is important to you the SWFA does not.

.260 Rem AR 24" barrel, what's the consensus on lighter vs heavier bullets? Is there a general consensus that gas .260's work better with lighter (say 120-123 gr) bullets than heavier (139-142 gr)? I know that the heavier bullets have a slightly higher BC bit wasn't sure if the gas vs bolt...

I know I get laughed at but my YHM steel phantom has been great. I guess it's like optics in a way, don't look through scopes you can't afford.

I went 24" and often think I should have gone 22" or even 20". Most of my shooting is at 600 yards.

I couldn't be happier with my Long Rifles Inc Rem 700 action and chamber job (went .260 Rem instead of Creedmore).

I've read that factory 140 Amax's have had accuracy issues lately. Can you get your hands on some Lapua 139 gr factory ammo to see how that shoots? ETA: based on what I've read about the factory Hornsby ammo I would not assume the rifle was the problem just yet.

Wow, 40 shooters? Last match I shot there were less than 20. I haven't been out there since the 200 yard range was finished. It was a beautiful day to shoot.

I answered the build vs buy question with a Sako TRG. Couldn't be happier and there was the benefit of plenty of data to start loading with.
