    Boyd's stock on my Marlin

Just got a Boyd's Rimfire Hunter stock for my Marlin 917V. I like how it looks. Hopefully tomorrow I can see if it shoots.

accuracy of old barrel that isn't perfect but still good.

Nothing wrong with Privi ammo. Shoots very well in any of the rifles I've used it in and the cases are first rate for reloading.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why you DON'T like Glock.

And exactly why is it a jest. That statement in itself shows a complete lack of thought. The comparison is very valid when taking the intended use of the particular firearm. I'm far more likely to have to use my handgun to dispatch a wounded animal or drive off a few coyotes that are after my...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why you DON'T like Glock.

Actully I never posted anything that really argued against your points in the first place other than to say that I personally don't care for how Glock's point and feel in my hands. Your the one who thinks I'm an idiot for not fighting forty plus years of muscle memory to shoot a gun that I don't...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why you DON'T like Glock.

Well up until now this was a fairly civil discussion. I guess the fan boys had to show up sooner or later.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why you DON'T like Glock.

How it points feel's is a bad reason not to buy a gun? I would have thought that having a weapon be on target without having to make a conscious and time consuming effort would be one of the better reasons to chose one over the other.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Why you DON'T like Glock.

If I had never started out shooting other hangguns other than a Glock I probably would love them. My not owning (I don't dislike them) is all down ergonomics. Well they are ugly but appearance is not a major criteria for me though it does figure in in a small way. I do like my Mosin even...

What's your favorite WW2 and older bolt rifle and why?

If my Swede could some how magically become equipped with the 03a3 rear sight and a thinner front sight blade it would be military surplus nirvana in my opinion.

What's your favorite WW2 and older bolt rifle and why?

I have a Swede too and like it a lot but you're back into the ammo availability problem. I personally prefer aperture sights also. For me the Mosin's felt recoil is a bit much after extended shooting. I think it must be the shape of the stock.

What's your favorite WW2 and older bolt rifle and why?

I'm kind of partial to my Lee-Enfield's but I'm a little leery of shooting them a lot because I have no one local that will work on them if something requiring more than just simple parts swapping is needed. I just got a 1903a3 Springfield that could take over. No shortage of good gunsmiths that...

I've been after one of these for a while

Not perfect by any means but I like it. I just got done installing the C stock that I got from CMP. It came with a poorly fitted non original scant stock that looked like crap.

My first non Lee-Enfield surplus rifle.

1910 M96 Swedish Mauser. First 5 rounds for me out of this rifle firing PPU 139 gr SP BT went into just over 2.5" at 100 yds. The rest (5 more 5 shot groups) were all under 2".

refinished my Norinko. What do you think

I'm not much on glossy finish on gun stocks but that is still a nice job on the finish on the rifle stock and the Harley parts. MJ1 you would have a ball with my spelling.

? for the model 70 fans.

As said above push feed rifles seem to cost a little less. I've owned a push feed Model 70 for over 30 years and it has been very reliable and quite accurate.
