Re: is this realistic? i have a millet scope..i agree i probably wont be able to see the quarter either but i was gonna use a peice of blue tape to hold it up so im almost positive ill be able to see that
so im fairly new to shooting very long ranges..anywho im thinking about shooting a quarter taped to a target at 550 yds..anyone ever do it or do it regularly? i have no problem popping clay pigeons at that distance so thTs what led me to the quarter idea..it will be with a. 308
Re: Dicks savage 10fcpxp its pretty damn accurate out the box which surprised me because the stock that came with it is junk...just all plastic furniture..but i put mine into a choate tactical stock simply bc i could just drop it right in using factory dbm..i know that if u go with bell and...
Re: Trying to inderstand Savage rifle models. instead of building something why not just buy a 10fp with a choate tactical already on it...they sell them that way
Re: savage 10FCP at Dick's ill get around to it eventually...all i have is phone pics for now but i can tell u this...5 shot group waas one ragged hole lil bigger than a quarter at 100yds..with 155gr lapua scenars and 45.2 gr of varget
Re: savage 10FCP at Dick's well..basically just got lucky...they didnt have any in the back all they had was display model so i asked the kid if he could lower price and his manager said yeah take 10% off..then i filled out the ffl paperwork and the manager came to look it over and turned out...
Re: savage 10FCP at Dick's its not 5r...i just bought this exact same gun about a month ago..its a 22" bbl...the line of guns are made specifically for dicks so u wont find them on the savage website..im pleased with mine..especially since i got price down to 560...but ditch the junky...
so as the title states i have recently started to reload for .308..my first loads were 155gr lapua scenars with various brass and hodgdon varget at something close to 45.2 grains...just curious what everyones favorite load is..or recomends i try..i run a savage 10fcp with a 22 in barrel...
ok..i have a 10fcp with a 22'' fluted heavy barrel..its new so im guessing its 4.4'' on action screws ....anyways..i like the od green B&C medalist..but will this stock accomodate my detachable mag?? seem to be finding conflicting answers on this...or should i just go with the choate...
Re: stock selection ugh..seems to be that this is semi retarded..why cant someone just make a light weight fully equipped stock at a reasonable price..guess im asking to much
Re: stock selection yeah but the issue with b&c and manners and hs is that i would have to do other things to them ...cant just get one of them and drop right into...and with that chaote weighing 3.5lbs that put the rifle close to 14 pnds prolly..
Re: stock selection well i was interested in an a5 in camo possibly with adj cheek piece(just depends on how much extra that is)..also do they come compatible to take my bottom metal or is that something extra i will have to buy?
looking for some opinions on upgrading my stock..i have a savage 10fcp with a fluted heavy barrel and dbm...my initial intention was to get a mcmillan a5 but it seems now that the consensus is that it will cost me like 800 $..i was under the impression i could just get the stock for around 500...
