I was fortunate enough to have depression era grandparents that I spent a lot of time with. Learned a lot from them, mostly how to be happy, resourceful, and optimistic. But my boomer parents didn’t learn from them - consumerism and me first attitude was fully entrenched in their generation...

Just got back from Burning Man yesterday. Went to Sturgis this year too. Both were fun but completely different. Some people just need to get past their political and social biases and learn how to enjoy different things. I know I did. TBH, I had more fun at Burning Man than Sturgis.
