I use a 20 moa rail and do not use the stop. Barrel is 28" and I shoot from 100 to 1300 regularly. I had the melonite treatment done and after 1100 rounds it shoots better than ever. The scope is perfect for matches where the user is not fidgeting with the settings too much, the little quirks...
I also own a vortex razor hd, and a new Nightforce competition scope and hands down for optical performance it's IOR all the way. It's just a heavy beast and parallax adj is a pain, other than that it does what it's supposed to do better than anything I've seen.. By the way I shoot a custom...
I have been shooting mine for a couple of years now and love it. The optical performance of this scope is amazing and will be tough to beat. I have won a few 1K matches with this thing so far and still going strong. The only thing I don't like about it is the parallax adjustment being way...
Re: Fired some 260 out of my 308 by accident Yes it was a bit quieter.. I just had the boxes of ammo switched, the brass after firing looks like a 308 brass now.. I won't take any chances, I'm throwing away the 3 brass cases..
Could I have hurt the barrel on my 308? I was not able to fire another 308 through round at the range because I could not chamber a 308 because of unburrnt powder that was spilled on the chamber that had to get cleaned out. Am I screwed? Thanks.
I am trying to find out what part number there is from Sinclair. I need a Sinclair cleaning rod guide for my JP AR in 260, I am seeing one for an AR 308 and AR 243 but none for an AR 260. If I have to choose would a 243 bore guide work? Thanks.
Re: Capability of 260/6.5x47 vs 308 If this is your first rifle, I think 308 would be a good choice. Having sad that, generally a 308 would deliver more energy on target for ranges below 5-6 hundred yards without too much penalty compared to a 6.5mm in terms of windage and bullet drop.
Re: 260 cal, 123 VS 139 Lapua scenar Actually I did just that but forgot to include that.. At 1000 yds, 5 mph wind at 270 deg, the 123 has a total windage of 24.7 while the 139 has 31.1 which is quite a significant advantage for the 123.. Time in flight is 1.30 and 1.36 respectively..

Re: RL-17 and Temp Effect on Effective Charge Weight I've been running rl17 on my 308 and 260 rifles and I found that .2 of a grain for every 10 deg can compensate for the temp sensitivity. This is what my chrono and dope is telling me, your results may vary. 308, I run the 208 AMAX on Lapua...

Re: Savage Axis?? I have a Savage axis in 223 that still blows me away even after 2k rounds. I shoot 69 smk with 25.2 gr Varget, .020 from the lands about 1/2 moa, unreal.. Just don't let the barrel get hot and the stock gets even softer..
