Has anyone read about a technique using a turkey feather as a paint brush for your camo pattern? I read about it on some forum . You applied the base coat. Sprayed the feather lightly with the next color and dabbed it on the stock with twists etc. Than you moved on to the next color with a fresh...
Re: Remington 788 tactical stock? Not tactical, but Boyds has a thumbhole laminated for $80+shipping. Nothing wrong with sturdy laminate. I have a laminate varmint stock on my 700 AAC-SD. You can always paint it camo if you want.
Re: Rem 700 I believe Remington makes a 700 5r in 20" threaded in ss that might be a great starter. You wouldn't have to put much money into it. You have to look for it online because it is not listed by rem. as a regular production item. Only certain distributers will have it. If I hadn't...

What factory ammo would you buy to shoot and keep the brass for reloading. I will be reloading the brass and want to buy good stuff to start with. I don't want to try different factory loads so the brass stays consistent. I've seen good load recipes on here so that part will be easy.
Re: I F###ING HATE RUGER!!! I love the reply "you have to be 10% smarter than what you're working on". It's a Ruger and their engineers have their heads in the sand. I had two of their MKs and now have a S&W 41. I bought a beater for $450,polished off the rust pits, and had it threaded for a...
