Throwing in my vote for the RRS SC-ARC... works great, and like the flexibility to use pic also https://rrssoar.com/scarc/ Area 419 has a new one with a lever (I have the knob version). I'd suggest them as a 2nd behind the rrs https://www.area419.com/product/arcalock-qd-clamp/
I have both the TSN-883 and the Vortex 85mm. The Kowa outshines the Vortex. It's an amazing spotter. I would say that the Vortex "feels" like it might be more rugged. (for whatever that is worth).
I've opened mine up. There is a screw underneath the warranty/void sticker at the bottom center (if I recall correctly.) It then seperates easily. Be careful, there are wires that connect things on the back assembly to the PCBA that is screwed to the front assembly. The screws holding the PCBA...
In on the Northshore / Madisonville area. I agree, if we want it, we are going to need to group together, find a range, and make it happen. Once matches are happening you will see people travel
The NFMI plugs aren't going to amplify/play sound unless the ear-pro supports NFMI.... So they will just be really expensive foamies unless you use them with the ops core. I personally don't think the OPS-CORE NFMI plugs do as good a job as plain-foamies if you compared them just one-to-one...
I THINK the UHD is Japanese, but you might want to check... I know the HD's are China now. No experience with the glass. I ended up with Swaro SLC 15's... but the Meopta 15's were really, really good... spent a lot of time comparing them. Honestly I should have just saved the $$, but I wanted...
I almost feel like launching a can is a right of passage. I sent a 9mm can that I didn't mount properly on a 3-Lug down range. First shot.. BAM, can flew down range... and EVERYONE is looking at me. Had to wait for the range to go cold so I could do the walk of shame and get it. Luckily no...
Are we talking about a just "Off the shelf" rifle you have no experience with, just have to grab and go? In that case, probably BCM, Colt, or DD would be my "low-ends". If we are talking about a rifle I had experience with, that's a whole different story
honestly I had the same idea... but what I personally found is that 1.) yes 300blk bolt gun with sub sonics is quiet, but not very accurate. 2.) supers are more accurate, but louder... at that point why not go with something else besides 300 blk if you aren't using subs.
I really like the Area 419 system for precision type rifles... makes it nice to be able to easily move cans between rifles and swap up with muzzle brakes... I've never had a problem with the system. If it's just one rifle, or you have multiple rifles all threaded the same, then I guess it...
Did you have the builders kit backordered? Or were you just waiting for it to be instock? I've been waiting the last year for it to come in stock, which it did last week... so I ordered... but Seekins never shipped it. When I e-mailed to inquire, I was told, "oh sorry, our website isn't...
I have a proof steel 18" in 6mm ARC... it's a hammer with factory ELDX ammo. I'm using "E-Lander" aluminum mags from Brownells... at the time they were the highest rated... I have had zero issues so far. Right now is going to be a tough time for any new cartridge, with all the supply chain...
after hurricane katrina, someone had the great idea to write people names on the stuff in their office when our flooded building was being emptied. afterwards, someone suggested I try MEK to get the sharpie off... it literally MELTED a hole in the top of my dell tower... sure did remove the...
I believe you can put a barrel w/ M4 feedramps on a lower without them, but you cannot put a barrel with no ramps on a lower w/o them. This is because the rounds can angle downward and get trapped under the barrel. I'm sure someone will be along that can either confirm this or set me straight...
