    Is Color.... tacky?

    I have painted two of mine: Pinestraw color and Wood color. I also half painted a custom cherry stock with indigo ink and that was a trip to do.

    Here's my 1944 K31 in a custom cherry stock I finished with shellac and india ink. The original stock is also being restored but I have a lot of dents to try to steam out (lol).

    In case folks are wondering, the "banana" rifle is from the movie Chappie. Just using it as a bad example of rifle painting that's all.

    My personal thoughts are that your colors are good and will not detract from the rifle. I say go for it. I was worried you were going to say something waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse. This is an example of way worse:

    I normally don't run the weathermeter+wind vane and the Kestrel but I wanted to see how they compared.
