Re: US Optics 17x vs. 22x & reticle ?? I've got the 3.8-22X on a .338 LM. GAP reticle 1/10th mil. The only thing I don't like about it it's not a TPAL. I would have a tough time picking between the 2 you listed for a 1000+ yard rifle, but I would lean toward the 17X

I got bored and glass bedded my Remington 700 AAC-SD's Hogue stock. There was a slight improvement but if you ask me...... it still sucks. I guess a stock swap is in the future and then probably barrel swap..... to a better caliber...... like a 6.5X47 Lapua or .260 Rem AI......... or for that...

Re: Gunsmoke sniper rifle. Did anyone else catch the picattiny bipod adapter that he "machined" himself? It looked strangely like the piece of crap Weaver adapter that I have. And by strangely like I mean identical, rubber gasket and all.

Re: SPS Tactical I've actually owned both. I shot the SPS to 800 yards with good results using 155 gr Palma MatchKings. I recently shot my AAC at 1000 yards using 175 gr MatchKings. The results were a little mediocre but I was just using a load I had thrown together with what I had on hand so...
