Got bored so decided to some penetration test 29gr 22cb long vs .17 cal 8.5gr going 900fps+ and the 22 cb long going 710fps. The test was done at 30 yds shot at dry wall here r the result.

I've got a Seekins base on its way and will be mounting it on my 5R with some Burris Tac rings. How does one know that you should or may have to (bed) the base or lap the rings? Is there a way to make sure that it is needed?
