Depends on what you are looking for, my friend is a distributor for Gradous and has a few builds ready for sale. Most are tactical 308's, a 338 Norma just sold also.

You will love it, nice selection of parts. Being that you are shooting 140 hybrids tells me you want to shoot it long. If so the reamer you use is the most important part of the build. If you want the most out of it and only want to shoot 140's get plenty of free bore and it will easily out run...

My BAT VR-PIC came melonited and I got an explanation as to why BAT used 17-4 instead of 416R, cant remember exactly why bit it was preferred by their metallurgist.

I'm on my second one now, both 26" barrels. Great cartridge and easy to load for. Robert built one for a friend of mine and it is a shooter. As stated talk to him about the build, if he prefers an action for the build there is usually a reason, based on personal knowledge.

I currently own both and have shot many in the past. They both make a great product. With that said my VR-PIC would be the last to go if I ever had to liquidate.

Try Thunder Valley Precision in Ohio it should be fairly close to you. I got to shoot a little with owner, Tom Sarver at a match and found him to be a straight up good guy. No problem giving me little pointers and having some fun while at it.

20 is fine, being that you are in B-More you can take a ride up to Continental Arms and handle a few custom 308's in 20-24" they have one I was looking at that shot in the 0's with 168 FGMM

Whatever you do build on the Surgeons first. After you build on the BAT you will want to toss everything else.:) Robert can match the Cerakote to the Melonite and save from masking the inside of the action, too tight to coat the bolt or inside.

Bob, What bullets have you used on deer with what results. I shot out a few 6.5x284's in the past but I'm currently using different bullets in my 47L. I want to start culling with this rifle but never put a 140 Hybrid to fur. Correct that deer body fur.

I have one in my BAT 6.5x47L I've went through a few triggers and finally have what I was looking for 1# and took out more that half the engagement they had in it. It is clean and consistent.

I am at 2.850" light on the lands with the boat tail junction well above the shoulder neck junction with a 140 hybrid.

Don't sell it short, there is a lot of people shooting 130's, But if you run a custom action and long FB the 140's are all over the 130's. My BAT VR PIC 28" Barlein with plenty of FB launches 140 Hybrids 2910 fps with absolutely no signs of pressure with stellar accuracy.

What do you want to do with it? what bullet and what do you expect out of it? The 700 action is fine and is not an issue, unless you want to run it hard. A tight custom will out run the 700 if you push it.

Very nice, curious how are you seating the Hybrids? I just started using them in my 47L and they are awesome.
