Re: M700 SPS ,223 Chamber I have not modified anything, just added scope base. The bolt does close smoothly with no round in the chamber. No visible obstructions or defects to the chamber or bolt assembly.

Re: EGW 20 MOA Scope Rail Dennis, I am using EGW 25 minute bases on my 700p in .308 and on two .300 win mag Senderos. All are working just fine. I think they are a great alternative to the more expensive bases for recreational shooters.

I tried the Search but had no joy. A friend has asked me to help him learn reloading and the only caliber he has is 6mm Remington (Ruger 77). He wants to load 105 A Max at around 3,000 fps. Does anyone have a favorite load for this caliber and or bullet? Thanks!

Re: how old are these primers I am using some LR BR primers in the same type of box. I know they are at least from the late 70's. My dad bought them when the store was out of regular LR primers. We only used them when we were trying to get smaller groups from our .30-06s. I am loading...

Re: Nosler Match 168 Bullets Anyone? I got a great deal a few years ago on 1,000 of the Nosler Match 168gr. They shoot great in my .30-06 and .308. I have even started using their 155 grain match bullet for 1,000 yard shooting in my .308p.

Re: Anyone use Federal Brass? I have used Federal brass for many years and never had a problem until now. I bought 500 once fired FGMM brass in .308 for my new 700p. I have had 2 rounds so for that split in the shoulder after only 1 reload. I won't be buying anymore.

Re: Shot my first hand loads today. Welcome to the wonderful world of reloading! You are off to a great start. Just wait until you load for 30-40 calibers and have 20-30 different type of powder, bullets, etc. hehehe.

Re: 17 hmr I have a Ruger 77/17 Target w/NIkon 4x14x40 scope. I have been able to hit empty 12 gauge shells at 200 yards, if there is no wind. Come up was 6'' from 100 yard zero. The little 17 grain bullet does not like wind.

Re: Vais muzzle brakes I have one on my Sendero .300 win mag. I feels like a .308. This is a great brake. Mine was installed by GAP. You have to look hard to see the line where it meets the barrel.
