I have almost the same setup as you. I ended up swapping my carbine stock for one of the new Magpul MOE fixed carbine stocks to save a bit more weight on mine. Looks awesome though!

If the recoil spring is newer and you can actually see the round catching on the feed ramp, you are correct in needing to find a different round. Something with a more pointed cone to avoid catching the edge of the feed ramp like Cor-bon DPX or the Hornady Critical Duty or Critical Defense would...

KRG uses MOE rails for attaching lights and bipods to their chassis. I am using a short section now to mate my Atlas bipod to the chassis and it's been handling the .308 recoil just fine.
I've been using Pro Shot stuff for as long as I can remember. I finally got one of their long coated rods for punching the bore and one of their chamber guides as well. All I do is dip the nylon brush in hoppe 9, run it through a few times then follow up with dry patches on a jag. Last patch...
Correct. The factory piece all the way sat down on the frame was still too high for me to get a good cheek weld on so I had to home make a solution. Works like a champ and I was into it for a whole whopping 1.92 for the project, lol.
