I got a 8 pound key of 4198 for my wifes bolt action 223. It was in the Hornady manual and the power was available so I picked it up. I got a RockRiver AR the other day looking in the book the 4198 powder is not listed for the 556 nato. Should I treat it the same as the 223 when building up...

My wifes 223 is a 1/9 the rockriver is the 1/8 I would like to find a powder that will work in both. Im not sure if the twist difference will really matter all that much for what we are doing. Im using different primers in both as well but that should not really matter.

I got this brass from a friend and when I checking it after cleaning i noticed a lot of it had these small dings. I was not sure if these would be ok and its better to ask than kill myself. All of the dings look about the same and at the same height which is weird but let me know your opinion

I know that the more precises is the better of course but the all mighty dollar comes in to play more times than not. I got a set of digital calipers that have a accuracy of +/- 0.008 is this enough or should I look for a set will less tolerance? Thanks
