They were the leupold low rings with 2 screws per side. They were way to high to be lows and for some reason wouldn't torque down right for me. Just went with Burris low rings with one screw per side. Would have liked to get a ring with 3 per side but s heels didn't have anything low enough. But...

I shot this group at 500 yards with my savage FLCP-K chambered in .308. I was down to my last 3 bullets and decided to spend the last one trying to hit a golf ball. Unfortunately I held off and came about a half inch from it!

It was faulty rings. Had great results at 1200 with the same ammo. Also regained my 500 yard accuracy. And for clarification culpeper, the ball tends to get knocked off the stand I have it sit on, and typically can be verified with a bullet hole. ;)

Incredible...how a piece of lead and copper can be guided that far is amazing isn't it?!

Really encouraging post! Iv been wanting to stretch my .308 out to a mile, and so far people think I'm crazy. Ill point the haters over to this post! Iv gotten out to 1205 so far and also recovered a bullet. :D Maybe my goals will increase after the mile! Thanks again for sharing!!

Did the same thing with my 10 FLCP-K with 168 amax pills. Just shooting at a small dirt mound but was over all pretty happy! It's fun to push a .308 past what most people think is possible.

Hey everyone. As you know, finding match bullets isn't exactly like visiting your favorite buffet nowadays. Recently Iv ran across some 200 gr hybrid targets and 210 gr match vlds. Also, are you guys referring to superformance match? Or just superformance? I would assume more attention would be paid to match loads.

It was actually more horizontal. I switched ammo cuz that is the only match ammo I can find. I also am having a hard time finding match bullets for hand loads. Just switched rings as well. Not happy with leupold 4 screw rings at all. I guess I'll have to see what happens and hope for more ammo...

It's just weird that I'm getting killer 100 yard groups.

Not really interested in dropping twice the money for a scope that doesn't show that large of an upgrade. I'm sure there are some worth while differences, but again, this is just going on my .308 savage flcp-k. I out to 1000 with a cheap Nikon. Not to mention, that scope let me kill a tennis...

I know that a lot of you like mil/mil scopes, but i dont mind doing the extra math for finer adjustment and moa familiarity. one day i will step out of my comfort zone. ;)

Keeping the viper. Like I said, for just a .308, I don't see a point in spending more (although the nightforces iv shot through are sweet) and switching to a millett looks like a 50/50 chance with little to no gain.

Once you shoot 500 and past, anything under 300 is just for sighting in. Or showing your other buddies up at the range. lol Its an addictive sport my friend!

It is a viper PA 6.5-20x44. No 50s were in stock. It only has about 67 total minutes of adjustment after i decided to do some simple math. lol This is about the norm that ive seen, even in scopes 2-3 times as expensive. Yes, some have more, but not many. Especially in the price range Im willing...
