I have a 18" Bartlein 5R 1-7 and a 16' Krieger 1-7 4-groove, both are wylde chamber. Accuracy both are equal, only thing I do notice is that cleaning a 5R barrel is much easy to clean. I have Brrtlein 5R barrels in my bolt 308 and 260 and notice the same thing on cleaning the barrel.
Give a call to Compass Lake, they make AR barrels from Bartlein, Krieger, Douglas, and Criterion. I have a 18" Bartlien and 16" Krieger from Compass Lake and both have been very good barrels. Customer service is also good.
sulcop96 I like the atlas monopod, the atlas mono pod has a quick adjustment, and a fine adjustment just by turning the body. To me it adjust fast, I have never used a rear bag yet but getting one now to see how fast it compares to the monopod. I have never shot it on soft ground yet, if you do...
pklin1297 I had some washer around the house that fit and dont know the size of the washers. I didnt try the washers that came with the stock. I think the long screws and brass nuts are to be used with the stock cheek piece.
Adjustable cheek mount with victor grippy cheek piece, the long screws and brass nuts I did not use with the victor grippy. I did have to use washers with the screws provided because the screws were bottoming out before they where tight.
Massoud the adjustable cheek mount with victor grippy is very nice, the lateral adjustment works for me with my fat cheeks. I would recommend the adjustable mount with victor grippy cheek or use the stock cheek piece if not getting the proper cheek weld.
I use a Harrell's precision turrent press with a 4 hole turrent. He also has single stage press and a combo press which u can use with the wilson dies. The press are pricey but for the protability of the press they cant be beat.
I had the same problem and what I did to fix the problem was to loosen the top panel grip screw then tighten up the screw again. Just tighten it enough where it does not bind the safety.
New reloader here, I was sorting out my once fired brass and I found some that the primer pocket flash hole where oblong in shape compared to new lapua brass I have. Is it safe to reload the oblong primer pocket flash hole or just trash it? The tool I used was a Harvey deprime tool.
