Pro trimmer or pro trimmer 2?

I've been using the Redding 2400. It was a little tough to get set up but after the initial setup it's been working like a charm.

    Accuracy issues...

I could not agree more. It seems too often the concern is ragged hole groups instead of predictability of first round impacts after the shooter has done his part. You have a weapon system that is performing as it should for an off the shelf factory action and barrel. As far as I can tell. Great...

Two thumbs up for KRG bolt lift.

    Rifle Weight

While you are correct to a degree, the ANS does affect your heartbeat, among other functions at a subcouncious level. That being said, there are several techniques (breathing and as simple as thoughts) which can affect your heart rate. I wouldn't agree that its mental or physical but a...

    Rifle Weight

Sir if you're in "great shape" as you say(puts you ahead of the game), then you just need to practice aiding your body to return it'self to a reasonable heartbeat. It's a challenge, that's what makes it fun. Bottom line, give it a shot and see what changes you might need to make to yourself or...

    KRG bolt lift

I love mine, I used the resin method. It's pretty rock solid and its removable if I want to to something permanent.

    What trigger for my R700?

I replaced the stock trigger on my sps tac .308 for a timney #517 after 3 mos. It's set right at 2lbs. I couldn't be happier. I cant really speak on a Jewell as I have never owned or tried one. I'd say get what you want, if you don't like it, get something else.

Is it me, or the rifle?

Hey Scratch, I'm new to precision rifles as well. I have the same action and barrel. From what I've learned to this date. You have to ask yourself what it is exactly you are expecting from the weapon system. The SPS is entry level. If you looking for 10 shots through a ragged hole that's gonna...

    Rifle Weight

Mine is right at 17lbs loaded. I hump it, plus additional rifle(semi) gear and water on a weekly basis. So running around during a comp is not an issue.

My 300 yd 3/4in Group... Lets see groups past 100 yards.

Muled all my gear up the Mountain in the blazing sun, sweated my posterior off. 10min after I get set up, this crud rolls in. 2 hours not so patiently waited.....damaged my plate.(close range 5.56) Finally did get 12+ rounds off while fighting some strange winds. The plate is not AR 500. 2...

Rifle Scopes Vortex PST FFP 6-24- pre-range review and pics.

I'm very happy with mine. Amazing features for the price point. I chose the 6-24 FFP for the fact that I wanted to be able to manually range with the reticle. Going to range is fun, but I prefer to be in the mountains.

    What bipod should I buy?

Try both if you can. Unfortunately I think most of the replies are not accounting for weapon system, experience, technique and body composition. All of these are critical factors and are often overlooked. What works for some of us may not work for others.

Member Link Up Puget Sound Area Shooter's Group

Hello all, I just wanted to introduce myself, so to speak. I'm new to long range and precision shooting. Looking to make it to a few matches. I've been doing the multigun thing for 2 seasons now. Just looking for "training/competition" with my very first bolt gun. Just an excuse to do more shooting.

DIY Shooting Mat and Rear Bags:

Just made a rear bag out of a pair of old socks and some buckwheat. We always have it around the house so I thought I'd give it a try. Full range test tomorrow.
